If not...I am toast. I have my CDs, Boots, etc. there is no future left. It was hanging by a string for the past 10 years. Soto had the new set of keys but F&F incorporated hosed that.

At the moment, I'm really agitated. . .no, wait. I'm confused. . .no, wait. I'm hurt. See, that's my problem. I'm not sure how to feel. Conflicted is a good word, I think. I'm hurting for Jeff and I hate to think that this band I've loved for most of my life is being that crappy to someone.

I don't think I'll ever stop enjoying the music. Seeing them in concert anymore, well, that's up in the air for me.

I'm truly sorry you feel that way Dean. If it was anyone but Jeremey I'd be back in the Perryonly catagory(then NIG would kick my ass), but I can't turn my back on a friend of mine over the dirty dealings of a couple pricks like F&F. Jeremey has earned this chance and I don't want him to lose friends over it. The way things go with F&F he's likely to need his friends even more in a few months.

I'm thinking more of the human factor here than the rock 'n roll band factor and so are you. We just see it in a different way. I get that and I don't begrudge you your choice. I hate what's happened to Jeff. I'm thrilled more than you can know to have met and spent time with him and I consider him a friend too. I'll be there for him in whatever direction his career takes him now, but I can do that and still support Jeremey.

I think I would be a better friend and advise him to avoid a situation that could cause him more pain than reward. I am sorry but a friend is someone who is looking out for your best interest - even when you cannot see it yourself.

Sorry. No matter how tempting something is - if the potential outcome is disastorous as this one looks to be I would move heaven and earth to protect my friend. Thats how much I care for my friend.

Exactly, The guy's finally got a shot at the big leagues. He's not gonna screw it up for anything. I'm looking forward to the new version. I'm on record as saying Jeff was a good singer just not a fit for Journey. I just don't know about Jeremey's writing ability. That's why I was hoping for KC to get the gig. Love KC's "Running with the Wind" cd.

Is being the lead singer of JOURNEY really worth anything anymore? I mean really. This is their 3rd singer in 3 years. It's like pulling the short straw to see who has to be lead singer anymore....

The Def/ Journey pairing was a revenue bonanza and that is not due to Jeff or Augeri, but rather, the band's marquee value.
People want to hear those songs.

I've warned him to watch his back as have several others. This is a man getting the chance to live his dream. Rafting the Colorado River, climbing Mt Everest and sky diving are dangerous too, but sometimes a person's gotta so what a person's gotta do.

If it is a tribute band singer - no. I wouldn't pay money to see a tribute band, so why would I want one in Journey?

If they hire a an unknown singer, or a well-known singer that I like - maybe.

If by some miracle they hire back SP, SA or JSS I will be there for them only.

But I'll never look at Schon or Cain the way I did before.
They've turned themselves from icons and heroes that I looked up to into nothing but the two backstabbing, selfish, cowardly, egotistical assholes that they have showed themselves to be.

I will definately continue to be a Perry, Augeri and Soto fan and will support them all 100% in whatever projects they are involved in.
