U got JSS, and the rest of the guys not doing anything right. Fuck that little dick midget Neal and get someone like Slash or Stevie Vai? Blast out of a reunion of Soul Sircus with the midget. I think it's a get idea.

I love World Play and I thought w/ JSS being in Journey we'd get a second Soul SirkUs record in Journey downtime....
but not with what's gone on now and this evidently artery full of 1-way-only bad blood between Neal and JSS.

Too bad Neal couldn't get past his ego, to see where this all could have went with Jeff. I like World Play too.

SS was a flop if anyone expected it to sell tons of copies. It was successful in that most Neal/JSS/Journey fans who heard it thoroughly enjoyed it...I'm not sure who they expected to get beyond each of their already established fan bases.
They can't even sell new music as Journey, so it's unlikely a Journey side project, regardless of quality, was going to move a ton of copies.

SS blows anything Journey did from 96 to current.

Yep, me too. I've played the shit out of that CD, but even with Jeff singing, I can't bring myself to play it anymore knowing that two-faced backstabber is on lead guitar.

I'm very serious. Everyone I played it for said the same thing. All the songs sound the same. I didn't even buy the CD. Borrowed a friends, gave it a week and gave it back. Songs lacked chemistry. The applause at the shows was luke warm at best. The Journey songs were what everyone REALLY wanted to hear. I'd bet it didn't move 5,000 units in the U.S.

I'll give you that there are a few rockers that have a "similar" sound but not that they sound the same and that's not to mention the following songs that sound nothing like any of the rest of the album: Soul Goes On, Periled Divide, Coming Home, My Love My Friend, James Brown, and probably a couple of others that aren't coming to mind right now.

Good, valid points, Dave. I just don't like the album at all. I tried to. It didn't work. Probably the only thing Jeff's done that I didn't dig at all.

Hmmm...OK. I can give you that. I know for sure there's stuff I hate that others here rave about, so to each his own.

Check it out again, San Juan....you might find some timebombs on World Play that weren't instantly accessible before...
Highest Ground is still fucking unreal especially the version w/ Castronovo blasting on the kit.

I love World Play and SS, but as long as Neal is involved I'd say NO WAY.
It is really too bad too, cause these are 2 great groups that really could have gone far with JSS, Neal just didn't realise what he had...

I gotta go with Virgil Donati's thrashing on most every tune, not to mention it sounds more polished over all.

I'm with you Dean.
SO, why not start the fucking band up and piss Neal off. There is no better drummer than Virgil in my opinion (Sorry Deen) and Marco is floating around. Think of Axe or Steie Vai or even Sammy Hagar!!!! It could be cool
I did what everyone said to do and boutgh ALL JSS's stuff of iTunes and he really has some GREAT ballad drive songs and some great rockers.....
I think Jeff is a song writing machine!!!!! Let's start this muther fucka up and Rock and Rock with The Sirkus again!!!!!

It wasn't profitable. Neal lost $300,000 on it. It's over...not coming back.

When you're a new struggling band, and the rock star leader insists on travelling "in style", sure you're gonna lose money.

Without that tour bus he has NO chance of picking up 25 year old groupies as they cross the country. He lost money because of his need to feel important, and more importantly, whore around.
