We've Lost Our Way

Folks are steamed, bent, pissed and enraged.
The point I want to make is this.
Jeff is upset for one reason in particular. He doesn't know why he was fired. It's now become a game of Law and Order or Cold Case, where we are trying to piece the puzzle together. Jeff is upset about this, make no mistake, as we do know he wasn't let go for his performance. They blew Def Leppard away nightly after his arrival. This is something that they (Neal and Friga) know. Obviously it is something they aren't proud of because they don't have the balls to even call Jeff and simply put this all to bed and tell him why. This leads me to believe that there is something rotten in the bowels of these two guys....Ross isn't exempt from this either...he is a motherfucker as well as he is a liar. Yeah Ross, I figured it all out. You threw me under the bus publicly, so I owe you one
Anyway, had they just said, "Jeff, we just don't think the sound is right or the voice doesn't fit" or whatever. There would still be some waves but not nearly as bad as what we have now.
Aside from this, no one (except Rich Meyers), can argue that it was handled poorly.
And to those of you are intent on following this band, fuck you.

For the first time ever, I agree with you 100% Deano. Journey is dead to me.

One other thing.
Journey Mgt and it's members are reading this. They are uncomfortable.
What did you expect you morons?
A bunch of Mgt retards wondering why everyone is upset.
A faggy keyboard player wondering why everyone hates him. Jon, you are a piece of shit human being. Not one redeeming quality.
Neal. Dude, I am so disapointed in you.

No, you are following a band that doesn't respect itself, stabs it's fellow mambers, one of which just saved them millions and millions of dollars.
Journey, the tribute band. Steve Perry's stock just shot up 3000%. Journey is a junk bond.

Deano, I am mad as hell myself.... JEFF would have so ROCKED THIS BAND, Journey would not have known what to do with it I reckon and I really think the fear was just too much too handle for em!! The way it was done really sucked.. count me as one that is about done... THE MUSIC WILL ALWAYS HAVE FOND MEMORIES, but the owners of it SUCK.

Yep!
If they were serial killers would you still stick around and say "Oh its just the music. I've loved them for 30 years, I support them through anything."
This is about morals. Associating your name and approval with the right things.
This is most certainly not right.

the only way Journey can get my attention again is if Perry comes back. That's not going to happen, so I guess I'm done too.

Deano ! Very well said.
Another classy act by Journey.
Where do we think Dean stands on this, he probably doesn't want to rock the boat as this job is paying his bills.

So Deano when you say fuck you for following the band, who are you speaking to? Are we not supposed to post, read, speculate? what do you mean exactly cause you are here too Dude posting away. This is 30 years of some of our lives and we want to discuss and find out what the deal is, you spoke for Jeff in the above statement-you are a friend, but he's not telling you stuff, he's not your source?
Sure Fuck you says it all.

Rick, you missed the point.
I am not talking about the decision. The decision is theirs to make. I am telling you why Jeff is pissed. he hasn't been told why he was fired. They are too spineless to call or return a call.
Jon Friga, a guy who sits at his piano, overlooking the Open Arms pool and too scared to make a phone call. He called Perry, and told him to take a hike(no pun intended), after Perry himself is responsible for ALL of the Bitch's success; yet he won't call Jeff, a guy who saved the band from bankruptcy.
Neal, you should have fired this prick, picked up Greg and moved on. Now you get to be a tribute band.

I Imagine this has to be one of the BIGGEST things bothering Jeff,
just like it is bothering most of us fans.
To the naked eye, it appeared NEal was happier with Jeff in the fold
than he had been for a decade. And it also appeared, to those of us
on the outside looking in, that Neal and Jeff were actually becoming very close friends
as well as business partners.
I can see Friga not buying in to things and taking this easy way out.
But what is up with Neal?
You would think that, out of the entire Journey camp, he would've at
least had the decency to talk with Jeff by now and lay everything out there
so that there could at least be a friendship salvaged that could produce
another great collaboration in the future...
I just don't see how some people can treat "friends" this way...

.
Maybe Friga can put on his ROR smock and count the money Perry made him , and the money JSS saved him

Wanted to throw this in the mix.
As a big SP fan, I feel for you guys, I know how it feels to have The Journey over for you.
I know that JSS was ousted, not in the same way SP was but I feel your pain. I really do.
The Journey has been over for me since 98.

DEEN does what he is told. He is weak. Always has been. That's why he's still there. Ross too.

Why is Deen consider weak? Cause of the past problems he has had ?

Fro isn't the brightest crayola in the box. Remember he was the one that said SP had the reins and he just let go (said in BTM).
If he wanted 'his band' back he should have taken the reins from Steve, afterall Neal is a founding member. My point is that Friga has the reins now.

This is why I call them spineless, and it only confirms to me more that they KNOW what they did was wrong. That is why they won't call him back. They are wrong and they are spineless. They cannot and will not stand up to him.

Just a few thoughts...
Yes, it sucks big time the band has not called JSS to explain things
Yes, replacing yet another vocalist is getting old....especially at this stage in their career
Yes, the possibility of going with a tribute vocalist become nastalgic at this stage
As to WHY this happened....my guess is we'll never know.
No one here sits in on the many conversations the band members have. No one knows exactly how the 5 personalities got along...personally and in a business sense. Even if some here have a connection to one who is affiliated with the band or management, does not mean we'll understand the key issues that transpired.
Being only a Journey/Perry fan, even I saw the value of JSS with Journey. He brought so much of the intangibles.
Just my collective thoughts...
Chad

Sad but so true. I spent a lot of time and money going to see Journey. I was stoked that Jeff brought new life to the band and was waiting for new material. Very sad the way things went down as for management ,what management. Why would you pay people to make screw ups like this when you can screw up on your own. Like you said it was their decision to make just like it is my decision to basically stop supporting my favorite group for the last 25 years. Very sad times indeed.
***** Journey Mngmt. should be more than uncomfortable.

And, then to read JC's & Neal's comments in the media about how they are grateful to Jeff for his help & hope Jeff will still be friends with the band!! My god, what is it with these two? Has that Botox gone to their brains?
There was "Spinal Tap" and now there is "Spine-Less"!

Actually, even though their styles are different,
Deen has more to offer to this band, or any other
band that would land him, than Smitty.

I agree with you too Deano. I just wonder what is going on. I know we don't know the whole story because what we do know just doesn't make sense.
