Let's look at the facts:

1. He stopped Talisman dead in its tracks to front Screwney.

2. If there's anything in writing, would it be "Breach of Contract"?

3. Also - what about "Lost Time & Wages"? (see #1)

I doubt it. Companies, and therefore I assume bands, can pretty much fire anyone for any reason. He would have to be able to claim wrongful termination due to race, sexual harrassment, or something like that.

Sexual harrassment...

However, California is an "At Will" state, and as such any employee can be terminated at any time, for any reason.

US HEAVY metal band Motley Crue is suing its manager for $US20 million ($23.7 million), accusing him of "greed" and poor career guidance.
In the lawsuit lodged at Los Angeles County Superior Court the band - Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee - accused manager Carl Stubner of "extortionist tactics".

The suit also alleged Stubner persuaded Lee, the ex-husband of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, to sign on for a series of reality television projects that tarnished his and the band's image.

The suit said the two reality television shows starring Lee - Tommy Lee Goes to College and Rock Star: Supernova portrayed the drummer in an unflattering light.

Lee's television commitments left him unable to tour with Motley Crue because of scheduling conflicts, causing the cancellation of several concerts and about $US8m in ticket and merchandise revenues.

The conflicts were "real and concocted" by Stubner in order to "leverage his control over Lee to his financial advantage and to Motley Crue and Lee's detriment" the suit claimed.

Motley Crue is one of the most successful US rock bands of all time, selling more than 40 million albums worldwide and 25 million records alone.

I would say that depends on his contract.

I LOVE that from 'Drew's front page on The Crue, Lar.

We KNOW it was LEE who was ALL about overexposing himself. Now that he found out there's nobody that wants to see him either drumming for Motley or massaging Pam's tonsils look for someone else to blame. Sad part is, a jury might see it that way at least partially.

It's an interesting thing, too. Is the band backhandedly telling him "We held up recording and touring so you could go to Nebraska and indulge your foot fetish w/ that dude from Supernova what good came of it jackass?"


As for Jeff suing Journey? may or may not be grounds. I just don't think he's LIKE that. He'd probly rather move on.

As I came to find out, you can sue/be sued by anyone for anything. The question is will it hold up in a court of law, and, can you defend your position?

Defending yourself can cost quite a bit, as I came to find out. In the end, for me, it worked out, and they spent a fuckload of money trying.

I had no idea JSS stood for Jeff Sue Soto ?? fricken A !!

What is he gonna sue for ? the left over items from Red 13 Tour in The Journey Store ? and the Jon Cain autographed photos for $14.95 and the limited edition Rand Jackson Spandex Pants with pink polka dots?

he would take home about $955.00. The lawyer would cost $75000

LMAO, you might be on to something there. Now where is that pic that was taken on the UK tour of Ross between Jeff's legs? Gotta be able to spin that one somehow.

To paraphrase what Marzdog said, anyone can sue anyone for anything. It's proving your case or defending it that is the trick. So, JSS could no doubt sue, but would it be worth it? I'm not a lawyer and don't even play one on TV, but my guess is it would NOT be worth it.

Not to mention the fact that an organization like Journey with I'm sure several diffent components, could drag that out in court so long you would spend a fortune before you ever got your day in court, if you ever did. I would say absolutely NO, not worth it. But getting the word out as to what they are, which we are doing for free. Plenty worth it.

Unfortunately- with all the lawyers that Journey/Mgmt have- it would probably be Jeff's grandkids that finally saw the settlement. If there were any monies left
