For the record.........if you're hear looking for ANYTHING Journey, feel free to stop looking. I'm not Jeff Scott Soto, but they aren't speaking to me, or returning my phone calls either........or paying me for things they owe me for. So, I'm not an employee there anymore (I'm sure), and they'll be hearing from my lawyer about paying their bills.

Or should I say WTF is wrong with this band? Lady Luck and I have briefly met Jim and he is a sweetheart.

It would be the perfect time to attract some huge offers from promoters given the current success of DSB and the Greatest Hits. And possibly the last ever opportunity too...

After all...Perry did make his move in 1995 when it looked like Journey might be about to make an impact with Chalfant...and maybe the buzz about JSS combined with the Sopranos has stirred him into action once again...

Ya know, I'd NEVER think that because of all the horsecrap with Perry in the past.
However, with all the weird crap going on (firings, Supranos, web site vanishing, etc.),
It DOES make one think that something is either going on that's huge or that the band is no more.
I cannot believe that it'd be Perry coming back the band. The fact that JSS has said NOTHING is also strange.
There are gag orders, but that's not going to stop him from issuing a statement and saying "I don't know
why..."

With all due respect to Jeff and Augeri, this is the ONLY way this band would get back into my good graces at this point. If they want to sell ANYTHING else to me, they'd better be going down the Perry road.

However, I don't for one minute believe it. It is a nice dream though. By the way, I've NEVER been a Perry loon. I've always thought he was a creep for leaving the band out to dry. SO this is a big stretch for me.

Yes - and next year is the 30th Anniversary of his first record with Journey. Either would do!

Have you seen that Forbes magazine have just run a piece about the financial windfall Journey are enjoying from the Sopranos finale? Or the 'hip' New York literary magazine Salon.com whose music critic has just written a rousing defence of Journey and has trashed all the preconceptions and dogma of Rolling Stone magazine and all their crap about 'corporate rock'?

Out there in the mainstream Journey are hot right now. It just seems too weird to shut up shop now of all times, don't you? Surely Azoff is trying to milk this in some way?

Sure he is...
Future Promotions will show NO pictures of the band...
No band Member Names will be listed or spoken, just "Journey"...
They will mostly comprise of vintage Journey logos and album covers...
The next singer hired will get the gig by sounding as close to early Perry as possible...
He'll cut some quick studio tracks of some classics so those soundbytes can be
aired in the promos... With no pictures or names, casual fans will be drawn to the shows...
Azoff and company are going to milk the classic Journey sound for every-freakin'-dime they can
out of the casual concert-goer and they won't be none the wiser.

But its die-hards like us that feel cheated, knowing that this will be
nothing more than The Ultimate Steve Perry Cover Band...
And I won't even call them a "Tribute" band.
They will be a "Cover Band" because THAT is how low they have sunk, IMO!
