SOMEONE SHED SOME LIGHT. Hell? They have no direction right now...they won't be naming a new singer in the next few months, and any momemtum they built with Jeff is over and done. I hope they kept all their tour money to live on for a while.

Let me say this, Journey thinks that the direction they should go in is to sound like the 65 million units out there. To sound like the Journey legacy, that they now decide is more important !

They are leaning over the chasm and looking straight down. Unless they pull a perry out of their ass, they are done with most of the fans that supported them.

i know i'm repeating myself but hagar sounded nothing like roth but drilled the set everynight 84, diver down,etc...... and continued to make great music. jss didn't sound like sp but the passion on stage kept us drawn in. you felt his energy and for the first time since sp, you felt like we had a lead singer who was one of the family and not hired help. the future was sweet. journey had a cookie cutter set up like vh and now it's blown. no disrespect but tribute band singer...... come on. who's on deck?

W/O Perry or Jeff their next tour should be entitled Oblivion ! I would also suggest that for a future album if they can still write w/o Perry or Jeff.

That's like going from Joe Montana to like Damon Huard or something if Journey hacked JSS for a TRIBUTE SINGER. God damn people.

I agree. I can't understand why so many people feel that each lead singer this band gets NEEDS to sound at least a little like Perry! When a band I like gets a replacement, my expectations for that person are to take that band's sound and make it their own and bring their own unique artistic qualities to it. This is what Jeff did, and apparently it scared the bejesus out of the rest of the guys. He's too good for them, and they knew it. If they are content to be a tribute band, then let them. Summer is here and there are lots of county fairs in need of entertainment!
