Serious Question - Should we move on?

Postby **** » Thu Jun 21, 2007 12:07 am

Hi all

Let me preface this by saying this is in no way meant to squash people’s feelings or diminish what people feel they are going though. There are new threads started daily on 'who knew what and when' or 'friga sux' etc.

Do you think it is painful (counterproductive maybe a better choice of words) to drudge up again and again how unfairly they treated Jeff (and as we are now finding out - other members in the Journey camp as well). It angers ALL of us to no end to see how they treated Jeff. That is a given. And there is part of me loves all the digs that are being thrown and Frick and Frack (a big part of me!) and BELIEVE me when I say I do not want them off the hook or people to forgive them. This is NOT what I am saying.

But maybe it pains Jeff to see it over and over again.. I don't know - I'm just throwing this out there to see what people think. I honestly don't know the answer.

Do we just move on and now support Jeff on his other forums?

http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=36&sid=29676a104118db59d363225716bcf717

and

http://www.jeffscottsoto.niceboard.com

I'm not sure what I want either! LOL that’s why I am asking - Part of me wants to keep flaming them as long as possible.. but not sure ..? Ok thoughts??

I would think that if Jeff was seriously tired of reading this stuff, he would just avoid this forum all together. He's no stranger to the internet community ~ so he knows as well as any of us how this stuff works.

But, I think that the flaming and show of distaste in this forum (since BT is still down, and wouldn't let it go on anyway) needs to happen so that members and management know EXACTLY what people think of them for their idiotic behaviour.

Besides, some of the barbs and things being thrown about are absolutely hilarious - and I can't believe that Jeff hasn't had a laugh or two here and there from things he's read on here.

Of course, posting comments and support in Jeff's forums are a very good idea and a good way to let him (and others that watch this kind of thing) know that there's a buzz about him and a fan base that's dying to have him get out some music and on the road.

That's my opinion anyway...
Peace ~
Greg

good job, Kim.

move forward, don't look back. Lean on each other to ease the sadness, (thanx to all who read my "I'm crying again" text messages  )

Hold Jeff up and encourage him. he needs us to be positive in order to draw strength for the 'dealings' in the future.

go to his website and buy all his stuff. 8)

Commit to South Bend so you can give him a giant hug and a sloppy kiss! or a really firm handshake, guys. :D

I also think it's good for the people that've supported this band from day 1 to have a central place to bitch about their disappointment, shock, awe, nausea, etc. Also, this place has nothing but support for Jeff and so I don't really think that he's looking at this as anything other than "hey, the fans are as pissed as I am" (not to speak for him).

Speaking of Jeff, I went to his site yesterday and noticed the "Journey" tab had been removed but there were photos of him, Journey and Neal there. Pretty classy on his part, comparatively speaking. Too bad Journey can't have any class at all.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

looks like this might be a place for it:

Stress Management!

A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked

"How heavy is this glass of water?"

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.

If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."

He continued,

"And that's the way it is with stress management.

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
we won't be able to carry on. "

"As with the glass of water,
you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.

When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."

I don't think so. I think they need to know for quite a while how we all feel about this. It is being noticed. To let it go now would allow them to think that after a year off, all will be over and forgotten. They need to get the clear point that is not the case.

By ALL means move on......

No offense to this thread. I've wanted to write one this myself......

How many times are we gonna rehash the same emotions.......Fans are more upset over this than when SP was canned.

Granted, that happened before this forum was here, but there wasn't 1/4 of the buzz this is getting.

Move on peeps.....

I kind of wish Andrew would lock this forum so people could read it but not post~~~
and then start a New Forum that is clean and starting over with a bright shiny name that has no more band/slam/cursing/ bashing, its been done and now we need to start over. Still talk about the band and discuss rationally, but no more of the gutter talk.

Unlike Joruney, Andy has respect for many here, and will keep it open. He wont' and shouldn't shut this hellhole down.

This Forum is the palce we can bitch, When I want to be nice, I go to the JSS forum.

true that makes sense too, just hope the constant bashing isn't actually hurting Jeff in more ways than one.

Jeff will say "enough is enough folks", if it get's to that point. Unlike the cowards who can't even speak up for themselves. I think many of us know of who(m) I speak.
