I have a question RE: Perry

OK, so Andrew has gone so far as to include an "official denial" about Steve Perry returning to Journey, obtained from band management. Isn't this the same management that helped decieve the fans during tapegate? Isn't this the same management that assisted in deceiving Jeff when he was recently dismissed? Why would we believe anything they "categorically deny?"

All I'm saying is that, if there are any dealings with Steve Perry - or any other singer - at this time, they're not gonna tell us the truth about it. Frankly, I'm surprised Andrew even asked them.

Just my thoughts.
Matt

Just because Joureny Management has denied it, it would not surprise me if it happened...but I do not believe it will...

And a valid point at that. But one should put a little more thought into the process behind my posting such a statement. I don't post statements from anyone - including band management - without having prior knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes.
I'm told a lot of things off the record (not only Journey, but many bands), so I am in a position to know when someone is bullshitting me and when they are not.

Perryis NOT returning to this band.

And yet? Us Perry diehards continue to believe in the Great Pumpkin anyway.

Andrew - I trust your reports a lot more than I trust any statement released from the band. Certainly, I don't actually think Perry would be drawn out of retirement to pull the band out of this mess. My point was that I couldn't dismiss it just based off the denial of band management.

I am with you, it would not suprise me that in early 08 we will hear that the band secretly met with Mr P to iron out all the crap and differences and plan a world tour to support Perrys first LP with Journey Infinity!! its a 1-100000000000000 chance shot.. but what the hell, its the only way
Journey can make it work with most of us now.
