Deano handles things in his own way and his very animated on here simply because he's a very passionate man who happens to be very passionate about Journey..or at least was. I think he's a good guy although I have never met him. I can tell you this, for someone who is a total stranger, he was nice enough to send me Journey boots last year. He didn't have to take time out to make those boots for me, but he did and I appreciate Dean for doing so. I also appreciate him for letting us common folk know what is going on with our favorite (or former favorite) band.

It brings me to this thought I had today. Maybe sometimes it's best not to get close to something we truly are passionate about. I know that makes no sense, but often we get so wrapped up in something we truly like, that when it disappoints us, it literally breaks our hearts. Here's to you Deano!

Oh Greg you are so right about that. I think I was a lot happier not knowing what the people in Journey were really like.


And yeah, Dean is a really good hearted and sweet guy. Why else would I have defended his rude and rowdy ass on TJF to the point where I offended people with whom I would have liked to be friends?

It took me a little while, but not long, to understand that. Why? I don't know? Perhaps it's his style? Perhaps it's because he's so up front and will tell it to you like it is? Perhaps it's because I at first didn't understand his personality? His heart? Could be all four combined I guess? Point is, is it doesn't matter as the end result is I really appreciate the guy. He single handedly made me think about things more than I otherwise would have, regarding everything Journey. And, way more times than not, he was right on spot.. as many of us have come to find out.

So, here's to the guy who helped me think for myself!
