OT: Dishonest?

Postby T-Bone » Tue Jun 26, 2007 5:36 pm

I've been watching for a certain item on ebay for a while and when they do manage to pop up, the bidding war is on and the snipers are out in full force. This item is no longer made and when they do come up on ebay, they go in the range of $200-350 for this particular brand.

NOW>>>

I've managed to find this item, accidently I might add, up for grabs for a $15 starting bid and ZERO bidders so far. The seller has misspelled 2 words that would be used to find this item :? I see the seller sold the same item recently for $15 and very few auction views. He must have used the same auction template as the last auction was misspelled as well. I need this item for a project I've been working on, but I have some other plans if the seller lists more with the same misspelling. In a way, I feel dishonest, but on the other hand it's not my fault if someone doesn't use Spell Check

dude, I was JUST on Ebay, like 90 seconds before I read this. And I saw where someone with over 10,000 feedback, mis-spelled "vidio". This form a so called computer company. Dn't get me wrong, I can't spell for jack squat sometimes, but if they can't do things right, then I can't give them my money. But like you, if they want to rip themselves off, then that's their problem.

All you are doing is bidding on it T-Bone. If nobody else is smart enough to find it like you did, then you should win the item. The poor bastard that is posting it will and should learn from his mistakes.

The seller seems to be running a surplus type store that lists on ebay as well, so I'm hoping that he has more of this same item. I'm going to snag as many as I can and then resell them Im-a thinkin... This is where the "Dishonest" part may come in

I also forgot to mention, that these are NEW IN THE BOX. The used ones I've seen sell, go upwards of $200, so I wonder what New In The Box would go for if listed properly...

Dude,

Just because the dude listing the item is a dumb ass doesn't mean you have to be. I say go for it and get a deal on your stuff. You might send them an email offering to buy the lot?

Only on eBay could you find people to buy other people's dirty drawers...
Give me that $15 and I'll tell you to go sniff the laundry basket!

Actually, I'd be more interested in the box than the drawers. :)

You ask us a question of moral conflicts for an item, and we end up on blow up dolls and boxes. :P

The new 789....

The N2A company is planning a production run of about 100 vehicles.
She sits on a Corvette C6 chassis,

front styled like a '57 Chevy, side like a '58, rear like a '59. Hence
the designation "789."
