The year was 1980, and Journey was the biggest band IN THE WORLD. Seriously, it’s easy to forget that these guys were on top for a number of years, but just one listen to this song shows you just why. Plus, the ladies love Steve Perry’s smooth, soulful voice. As Rodney Dangerfield said in Caddyshack while this song played: Hey everybody, we’re all gonna get laid!"
Yep...they got that right...that voice! I happen to have been listening to Departure today.

Yeah AJ, that jumped out to me too. It's pretty obvious that it's NOT Michael McDonald, anyway.
