Challenge to BT refugees

Postby conversationpc » Mon Jul 02, 2007 11:06 am

I thought I'd pick up on this sentiment from Carlitto here in a new thread...

Carlitto H@kk wrote:My 'Only' problem with the BTers migrating here

use the same "Screen-Name" here as they do
there and it makes it hard to know who you may be
interacting with...

Why not just use the same screen-names?
By hiding behind different names, there tends
to be a preception that the person has an agenda
or wants to just stir some slop up...

Aside from that, I'm glad some BT folks made it here...
I'm sure it feels good to them to be able to vent
a bit in a more colorful manner than previously allowed :)

Those of you who have sought refuge here while BT is out of service, are you using your BT screen name here or hiding behind a new one? If you're hiding, my challenge to you is to change your screen name to your BT screen name, if it is available here.

Come on now...Man up, people.

It's just that we've had a lot of people from that board come over here while it's down and it seems as though some are taking on new identities in order to remain anonymous to stir up trouble.

I remember you Art, always enjoyed you post.

Ok, so I don't know why this is so important; but, I am 'BONNIE' on all the other boards I post on.

When I 1st realized Journey was touring again, I stumbled into BT after seeing the band in Wilmington in '01.

I really had no idea what was going on at BT so just posted as my name, Bonnie, and have remained that same AV.

After I decided to start posting here I thought I would get one of the cool names like everyone else had..not trying to hide my identity or anthing, no big deal, just a change..I've posted my name on lost of my post here. OK, so there you have it.

Challenge to BT refugees

Postby Tracie555 » Mon Jul 02, 2007 3:26 pm

I have been here since before BT closed down, and haven't changed my name. I did have to add the 555 in order to keep my name though :D

It is good to see your funny sigs Amanda :D It probably will be too wippy for all the He-Men over here, but I like it :D People probably hate all of my smiley faces too :D I have met a lot of very nice people from BT (Lula included) so I am not sad or embarrassed to have been on those boards first. I used to keep all of my cussing for the KNAC boards, but they have sucked for a few years now

So hopefully all of the baby bullshit will go away someday soon

Nail/Head.

That has been going on and bugging the everloving shit out of me since JM.com shuttered the thing.
We know where you are coming from, use your same damn names.

I'll give Maria credit she's the same poster/name all 3 places.

But the other "karma" invokers, stop fronting it already.

It becomes sinister when the name changes are done to make it look there are 2 and sometimes 3 times as many fans espousing this "karma" Harry Chrishna shit on the band, JSS and MR.com when really, we all know BASICALLY who they are. It's the same cultists trying to be 1 or 2 more other people.

Hey, TVL is leaving for the bi-hourly online meeting of the PSLOA.

Please jump on her broom and hitch a ride lest you be late and have to wait another 30 minutes.

My screen-name is the same as on BT.

For the record, I thought most of the posts over there were bullshit. But, if someone wants to do the H2H or slobber on and on about someone's leather pants, so be it -- I won't shit on them and bitch. I simply won't participate.

That's how I roll.

I've been here for a while, too. I'm the same jrnychick no matter where I post. Coming up with new names would be a PITA because I wouldn't remember them all. I don't use my real name (Lisa) because there are too many Lisas on the various sites and that can be confusing for people.

Hey Gordon...
I'm actually over with the Wiggler tags and Loon jabs.
And it's not really about what some of these new folks want to say;
it's a public forum and they can say whatever they want.
Hell, most of us expected a few BTers in here taking shots
because of the way the whole Augeri mess went down.
There's nothing wrong with that.
I'm sure Drew knew it was coming.

Why do you think BT shut down?
I ain't buying the "Long-Overdue Re-Vamp" statement form Cj.
While that was a big part of it, I also think they knew that things
were gonna spiral out of control quick and shut it down before all hell broke loose.

But if folks are gonna come over from BT, whether its to bait, brag, bitch, whine, WHATEVER...
At least have the common courtesy to use your usual screen-name (or something very close)
like you, Maria, Amanda and many others have.

maybe some folks are embarrassed to use their BT names after months of
claiming how corrupt this place is and how us Mr folks are such bottom-feeders...
Not a good excuse. Keep the names consistent, that's all we're asking. :)
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

I used to post at BT by MonCorella. Actually, I think BT was the first forum I ever signed up at (around '01 or '02, I forget).

I don't think I ever got past the 300 post mark.

I've posted as "Món" on every other forum I belong to ever since, so...

Anyway, posting there was a very eventual thing for me. I think I spent years at a time without visiting.

Then I'd come back just to check things out, and the intensity on the brown-nose dept. was reaching new peaks everytime. Sometimes to the point of not being able to say ANYTHING that could smell "contrary" to the band's direction, even if you were more respectful than the Pope.

When I found out about JSS' demise, I tried to log in and...POOF.

I found this place looking for news and comments on the current situation of the band, so I wouldn't consider myself a "BT refugee".`

They're ROUGH to the noobs here, but I like it so far. At least you can say "fuck" without having some fat lady jumping on her bunions.

(waiting for my little chihuahua to chime in at any minute now) :)

OK, I guess posts about the southward plunge on JSS' zipper is more riveting to you, I'm very sorry about that.
But it skeeves me out, you know, just having that forced at me all the while knowing you have that forked green tounge and spider walk down staircases.

You know dang well that Larry posted that pic and was riveted,, not I.( j/k paco ) You jealous of Jeff or something Stubby? Whats wrong? Does your belly stick out more than? My advice to you is to give up on the diets, they dont work. Just eat healthy balanced meals, drink plenty of water and get lots of exercise. Get off the comp and go occupy your time with some other activity to get in shape. It might help clear your brain fog too. Then maybe someday you'll be able to finally post your pic....unless, of course, its your face that stops you from posting one and not your weight at all.
