I picked Steve....but easily could have went with Schon, well at least talent wise. He is stupid as all get out.

Steve Smith.

Aside of finding him to be the most honest guy ever in the band, he's as an important part to the Journey sound as Neal or Perry.

IMHO, of course. :)

I voted for Friga!!!!

Seriously tho.. I cant vote. SP is the voice I grew up listening to and Jeff brought me back to Journey. :?
It's a 55/45 vote.

I wish there was a way to make Fleischman have negative points. He sucks.

It has always been about Perry. Always was because he is the one that wrote and performed and made them huge hits. No copy can ever erase those memories. Amen.

Smitth, because he's one of the best in the world at his profession; he was unceremoniously fired by Perry during ROR. Steve's monopolization of the band in the mid 80's, and his refusal to tour TBF are scars that will never heal - although he demonstrated some kind of prescience when asking Schon to re-name "Journey" in 1998.

Yes, Perry did many things he apologized for,but I am talking his poll # is that high because as Neal said "He brought all the success to the band". I think Steve Smith was the best and a real gentleman and probably even a better more respected drummer today. All the classic Journey members made it a huge success, but when people talk Journey they talk about Perry whether it is fair or not , it just is what it is. He will always be the voice that sang them the hits.

Okay, who's the joker that picked Prairie?

Unless... Prairie? That you, man?
Didn't know you were a member. You must have stories, dude. Spill.

you know a band member is pretty disliked when a member that hasn't been in the band in thirty years gets more votes, lol

Perry of course. I would never have given a damn about Journey at all if I hadn't heard that amazing voice coming through the speakers and there'll never be another one that will truly replace him.

Then you are a Perry fan, not a Journey fan.

ROFL!

That was one of the funniest things in the WOF video - even Perry didn't know who he was.
There's no audio on it, but you can see him point to GT and go "Who's that?"
Then Neal or someone told him and you see him say "Oh that's George?"
If even Steve isn't familiar with pre-1977 Journey then I don't feel so bad about myself not paying attention.

You guys(and gals) are gonna start throwing stones, but my vote goes to Jonathon. Strictly based on music, I think he had the biggest influence on the era of Journey I love. I enjoy a lot of the older stuff also, but my favorites are Escape on up! He changed the direction of the band, and although Perry won't admit it, it was his collaberating with Jonathon that made all those hits! I don't think they would have had as much success without him. JMHO!

Since he's your favorite, I feel compelled to tell you that it's Jonathan with an A. Not O.
