I found an interesting article on CNN about 80's and 90's bands and how their Greatest Hits and other albums continue to sell steadily.
Interestingly, our boys aren't even mentioned.

The writer is an idiot with obviously no research skills.

Journey is still #4 on the Top Pop catalog, a chart they have been on for 714 weeks, tracking 14 million in sales

The only artists on longer

Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is only 15 million - the # of weeks on the chart is questionable - right now it is listed as 1562 weeks, which would be over 30 years - the chart itself isn't that old. Could be an exception to everything

AC/DC "Back in Black" with sales of 21 million and 786 weeks on the chart.

Bob Marley and the Wailers on the chart for 902 weeks with only 10 million RIAA certified

As far as JBJ: weeks on chart = 230 and RIAA certified 4 million

How can they be listed first with this uneducated scribe?

Yeah, I was shocked about this also, because I'd also seen where Journey GH was #4. I didn't think it seemed very well researched either.
It seemed to have a bit of an agenda.
