That's a loaded question for me as I like a LOT. Are u sure u really want to know? Don't yell at me for this. It's varied. I'll just list the people I REALLY like :-)

From the 70s/80s/90s: Don Henley, Queen, The Police, The Eagles, Bryan Adams, Survivor, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, Go West, INXS, Whiesnake, The Scorpions, Kenny Loggins, Mr. Big, Phil Collins, Steve Winwood, Traffic, Steely Dan, Smashing Pumpkins, Supertramp, Pat Benatar, Styx, Kansas, Paul Young, Prince, Toto, Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry, The Kinks, Rush, Nik Kershaw, America, Dire Straits, Robyn Hitchcock, The Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, Yaz, Asia, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Boston, Bruce Springsteen, Nils Lofgren, Seal, The Cars, Cheap Trick, Chris Rea, Cyndi Lauper, David Bowie, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Earth, Wind & Fire, Elvis Costello, Collective Soul, Creed, Extreme, Wang Chung, Faster Pussycat, Fine Young Cannibals, Goo Goo Dolls, Heaven 17, Spandau Ballet, U2, Ultravox, Jackson Browne, The Jam, Tesla, James, Terence Trent D'Arby, Joan Armatrading, Starship, Simple Minds, Joe Jackson, Culture Club, John Mellencamp, Oasis, Joshua Kadison, Martha & The Muffins, Squeeze, Michael Penn, Nick Lowe, Simply Red, Slaughter, Pearl Jam, The Pretenders, Bob Marley, Santana, Sheryl Crow, The Rolling Stones, T-Rex, Thin Lizzy, Til Tuesday, Tori Amos, Gin Blossoms, Sublime, The Clash. Oh I forgot Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding as they're kinda older. I also love early Billy Joel (up to Glass Houses) & early Elton John (up to Captain Fantastic, my favorite album, after that he turned to shit).

More recently, Maroon 5, Daughtry, The Fray, Five For Fighting, Lifehouse, Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson, Elliot Yamin, Imogen Heap, Aimee Mann, Ray LaMontagne, Jon Peter Lewis (am I a bit too influenced by American Idol?).

That should cover the majority of my taste outside of Perry, Journey & Soto.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it is as I expected - the POPULAR stuff.

There is SO much talent in Melodic Rock/AOR bands that you might never hear from be it not for MR.com, and a few other websites.

Most people turn their noses to this music, but european 'hair band' music never died. The Euros have kept it going. There was no 'grunge' for them.

Thank G-D, because I love the stuff.....

please check out www.soulseek.com

It is a melodic Rock/AOR P2P download site. You can sample songs here - if you don't agree with file sharing.

Anyway, I'll list more bands after you've digested those.....and please give feedback on whatever you do sample....

:)

I don't take it the wrong way at all. That's all I've been exposed to pretty much. Well okay, I get exposed to some other stuff that some members of once popular bands do w/other people, but not that much & some of it isnt that good.

I know & I really should pay more attention.

I live in the wrong country, don't I? U know I love hair bands. I love men w/long hair. :-)

Who said I don't agree w/file sharing? :-) I will check out the site & listen to some stuff. I just never know where to start.

Here's a few... All are links to the respective bands cd's on HeavyHarmonies.com so you can see reviews and get a better idea of what each sounds like. I stayed away from stuff that was too hard rock, but chose bands that built their sounds around great harmonies, lyrics, guitar work and a few keys. Somewhat like the J band we used to know..

Line Of Fire

91 Suite

Jaded Heart

Main Attraction

AdrianGale

Blanc Faces

Charade

Guild Of Ages

Hotshot

Hotwire

Johnny Lima

Transit

Trixie
