Sean, most of the music you and I listen to is "out of style". Again, whether Tate's "seal bark" cuts it anymore or not is a matter of taste.

I refer you to Cal Ripken. Whether you like him of not, his last FIVE All-star appearances were popularity contests. He held back the Orioles by staying in the game and taking up a roster spot. His skills were well gone by that point. And I LOVED the guy.
I liked Tate back around Mind Crime and Empire. His voice was top-notch. All I'm saying is it isn't anymore. Much like the loons thinking Perry can still belt it out. He can't. But since they worship the guy, they cling to this fantast about 'how it was', and equate it to 'how it STILL is'....
And yes, we listen to out of date music. But it is great music, that was recorded when voices were still young. So where the product is out of date, the style is as it was 20 years ago. Big difference.
