Am listing now to KSLX in phoenix - on puter at work.
They just announced coming up this morning an interview with Jonathan Cain of Journey.
Wonder if Cain called them too?
Anyway if you are interested in what he has to say, go to
www.kslx.com and "Listen Live"
I cannot record it, however will try to take some notes (no meetings scheduled - yet)
Might be interesting.
Cat
[edit: Interesting, now playing "Change" by David Bowie]

Thanks for the recap, Cat. This of course pissed me off, going back to legacy sound, but then I thought- whoa, maybe Perry is coming back. Jon says they're going back to their legacy sound.... well that means Steve Perry sound and no one can can touch that man's voice!! There are tributes to and impersonations of, but no singer can do what Perry does, that catalogue is his alone. So maybe there is hope for Journey after all!!

That's a great thought Lula!!!
and a gret wish.
Can you imagine if Perry showed up to audition hehehehehe
Cain (not looking up): "OK #317 - pls find your mark - we will be taking if from 16"
Cain (repeating vamp) "Of for fuck sake!! Don't tell me we have another Perry-wannabe who cannot read or write music. Probably can't sing either"
Perry: "hehehehehe -hahahahaha-" **laughing and rolling of floor, holding his ribs - pointing at Cain and UnAble. "Gotcha!"

He's a smart man, here we go back to the days of old! I wonder if Perry has continued to let his hair grow? I'll bet he has!! OOOhhh I'm so ecxcited!

"GOING BACK TO THE LEGACY SOUND"
Huh?
Excuse me?
I beg your Friga pardon?
Isn't that what they spent EIGHT years doing with Augeri? Touring State fairs and carnivals, setting up their little stage between the Himalayan ride and the Corn Dog vendor?

So that's it. Breathing in all the exhaust from the carnival trucks and the corn dog stink is what fucked his voice.
I hope they at least gave him hazard pay.

I'm really glad to hear that the Sopranos will be using DSB in their commercial spots.
His inspirations were Burt Bacharach, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter??? Interesting choices to say the least.........

Somewhere over the Fucking Rainbow? Friga admitted this on Rock radio? No wonder people can't stand Journey? Did he admit to wearing his wife's panties too? What the Hell is wrong with him?

Good people of the Journey board - PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS -
STEVE PERRY IS NOT RETURNING TO JOURNEY. GUARANTEED. Sad but true.
End of story.

Hell Andrew! If Cain can say that he wants to follow up on "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" in this day and age, anything is possible.
I say it happens! It's just too good to pass up. Not a tour. Just a happening.

You're wasting your energy with this group. A new dictionary entry should be made.
'Loon' [loon] n.
A person that has a conviction that Steve Perry will be engaged in a given action or is involved in a given situation that constitutes his return to Journey.
