Hank Aaron was a true gentleman. He talked about about determination & longevity but I wish he included steroid enhancement to put it kindly. Baseball will become weak because of not dealing with this. Is any sport besides the NFL dealing with these issues ?

Did anyone else see Bud Selig when Bonds hit 755? He had to be prompted to stand up. He did not appear to be too thrilled with it at all.

In these situations I always feel for the pitcher who has that mark on his record for a lifetime or untill the record is broken again. I hate Barry Bonds and what he and many other players have done to a once noble sport. In fact all professional sports are corupt now because of the huge amount of money involved!

At least our generation had Cal Ripken, a great player and a great role model. I honestly can't think of anyone in professional sports these days that kids can look up to. How sad.

I can just imagine what went on out there to get this ball.

Barry Rocks... to be able to hit 756 home runs at 95-100 mph fast balls, wicked curve balls, sliders, knuckle balls and everything else thrown at him... that takes more than steriods---- talent is another aspect of his game...remember back when he started...back in Pittsburgh he was one of those rare guys who would be in the 30-30 club every year... At least he wasnt using cocaine or the other drugs the players from the 70s and 80s were using.

And yes A Rod will break the record easily by the time he is 40 unless he gets injured a lot.

It does take more than steroids, but the record is still tainted, as is his career.

Yea, he should've had somewhere between Mike Schmidt and Reggie Jaxon w/out the 'roids, which would still ensure a bust in Cooperstown.
