Wish I could do steroids and sing like Steve Perry.
San Francisco Giants fans are lame.

That's ok, ARod will break it in 5-6 years anyway. Hell, he could conceivably hit 850, 900 HR's...all honestly. Best pl;ayer in the game, although he had a bit of trouble tonight north of the border.

Had it on ESPN when it happened.
Bonds is a punk.
Hank AAron is still the true Home Run champ!

I hope he does. Bonds is a cheating punk. I don't know how Bonds can deny using steroids anymore. Everybody the feds have busted has fingered him at some point.

Hank Aaron was a true gentleman. He talked about about determination & longevity but I wish he included steroid enhancement to put it kindly. Baseball will become weak because of not dealing with this. Is any sport besides the NFL dealing with these issues ?

Did anyone else see Bud Selig when Bonds hit 755? He had to be prompted to stand up. He did not appear to be too thrilled with it at all.

In these situations I always feel for the pitcher who has that mark on his record for a lifetime or untill the record is broken again. I hate Barry Bonds and what he and many other players have done to a once noble sport. In fact all professional sports are corupt now because of the huge amount of money involved!

At least our generation had Cal Ripken, a great player and a great role model. I honestly can't think of anyone in professional sports these days that kids can look up to. How sad.

I was reading about this online and this caught my eye:
A fan wearing a Mets jersey wound up with the historic ball. Matt Murphy of New York emerged from the stands with the souvenir and a bloodied face, and was whisked to a secure room.
I can just imagine what went on out there to get this ball.

I hate even saying that fuckhole's name...but I'll say it now, Barry Bonds is lower than dogshit.
In my eyes, Roger Marris still holds the single season record...and Hank Arron still holds the career record.
Fucking asswhipe....take any other profession (save for politician), Barry would have been drummed out of it immediately.
Only in professional sports can someone as fake and completely fabricated get away with this shit!

Nail head.
I'd lump Padres fans in on that too. If this happened in the NE from Camden Yards to CBP to Shea to The Stadium to Fenway, Bonds would be hearing the crowd alright and it wouldn't be cheers.
Poetic justice would've been for this to happen at Chavez Ravine in front of a Dodgers crowd.
Did Perry cheer?

I hope he gets a shitload of money from Bonds out of it.

Barry Rocks... to be able to hit 756 home runs at 95-100 mph fast balls, wicked curve balls, sliders, knuckle balls and everything else thrown at him... that takes more than steriods---- talent is another aspect of his game...remember back when he started...back in Pittsburgh he was one of those rare guys who would be in the 30-30 club every year... At least he wasnt using cocaine or the other drugs the players from the 70s and 80s were using.
And yes A Rod will break the record easily by the time he is 40 unless he gets injured a lot.

It does take more than steroids, but the record is still tainted, as is his career.

Yea, he should've had somewhere between Mike Schmidt and Reggie Jaxon w/out the 'roids, which would still ensure a bust in Cooperstown.

There are a few..
Brett Favre
Tiger Woods
Tim Duncan
Sidney Crosby
Jimmie Johnson
Albert Pulos
Biggest names in their sports and all good guys. Truth be told, have your youngster stay away from the NBA, and the NFL for role models.
Bad Guys-
Al Iverson
Pacman Jones
Ray Caruuth
Ray Lewis
Cincinnati Bengals minus Carson Palmer
Kobe Bryant
Rasheed Wallace
Ron Artest
NBA officials
Barry Bonds
Mike Tyson

Not every guy who makes one mistake is a bad role model, Dean. Since that incident, Ray Lewis has been nothing but an exemplary citizen and does more for charity than probably any other Baltimore athlete. He is a beloved figure here.

EVERY athlete has taken vicodin. And all good guys drink alcohol. Tell me you wouldn't want to hang with the toughest sob in the NFL?

I knew you would come blazing in with this. Ray Lewis was an accessory to murder. You are who you roll with. He isn't a good guy NIG.

He also ended up testifying against them. He was with a bad crowd back then, and he admits that. Since then, he does not let people put him in positions like that. Tell me, have you heard of anything negative about Ray Lewis since then?

Agreed.
I'd LOVE to hang w/ Jeremiah Trotter.
And NealIsGod, you sound like a Bonds-apologist SF Giants fan every time you use the legalese to excuse Lewis.
