Say what you will about Perry's deteriorated voice by the time he released FTLOSM but his vocals on this song are some of the best of his career, in my opinion.

Missing You ~ New York (1994)

There are only a few here who think Perry blows....i am not one of them.. The guy is the best. Elvis is the King, But SP is the best.

Dave,

Perry had lost a bit more of his range in 94. However, the dude still kicks complete ass, he is the best ever to grab a mic in my opinion.

I do hate that song though, maybe it's too good for me to like it but, I still can't listen to that song to this day.

On a positive note, WTF about that Valentine cd man?

L8r,

Aaron

His vocals on the Pack song were his older voice, but it would top most singers today. Plus, MOST of todays artist can't write material that IMO will still be relevant 30 + yrs later.

Even 50% SP is better than 100% of everyone else.

I suppose it's great that some people can keep on going for what seems like forever, where as some people deteriorate quicker as they get older. Klaus Meine from Scorpions still has an excellent voice, and he is no spring chicken!
At the end of the day, if someones voice deteriorates, changes slightly, it's just part of getting older, something we all have to accept... sad but true :)
I like all the voices of Journey personally :)

I've never been a big fan of FTLOSM, but Missing You is a beautiful song. I love Steve's performance on that one.

dude, i watched that LIVE in my living room when this happened.. i knew , for some reason , that there
would be no hagar/jounrey songs performed and was ok with it... that album came out tough enough pony!!
love it.. i wonder who bought that red roland off of ebay with his black custom les paul ,, sold with whatever
was in the case,, cigs, strings, picks.. i HATE to say this,, but wouldnt it be cool if that guy needed some extra
cash and wanted to sell at $.10 on the dollar?

Liberals have to have a moment of clarity every once in a while, don't they?
