I went with Chalfant since Jason Kelty wasn't on the list. :D

Same here. Those asswipes will NEVER get another penny of my money. Anybody (including potential new hires) who goes along with them for the ride this time deserves exactly what they're going to get.

I would pay to see Journey again if Hugo was the singer, because that would be the closest to the Journey from the 80's they would every get, and I bet you 95% of the Journey fans would love it.

I agree with you, they will never sell any new music again, so they have to sell tickets, so I don't understand why they would not want to hire Hugo and have the wow factor. And don't bring up the "he is so creepy" bullshit. It's about money and selling tickets, and the bulk of Journey fans would welcome a guy like Hugo and gladly pay to see him with Journey.
A lot of people pay to see him now!

I have no idea who to vote or why for that matter.Regardless of the next singer's name, there are other bigger issues...Journey's decisions.
What they have done in the last one year and a half it's disastrous.

What's the future of this band anyway with the new singer?
A new album? Doubt it,but supposing they'd do it,the impact of a new release, after changing 2 singers in less that 1 year, would be like a feather touching the ground.
Touring?Yes,that's why they need a new voice fit for the old setlist.

I really like all the singers in the Poll, they are all good, but I've lost all hope for THE BAND.
Will listen to the new line-up.I guess curiosity is all I have left at this point.

I voted for someone else...there was a poster on here who posted himself singing Journey songs. He sings in a band but I can't remember his name..I thought he was very good.l

Jason Kelty. I'll bet that's who you heard. Dude has the most Perry-esque voice circa 79-81 on the entire planet. Man that guy could sing. He's found the Lord. Plays in a band called Gotham City. Seems like a genuinely good human.

How'd you find that out? I'll have to look into that. That Kelty is great. I sent that clip to my brother who was a big Perry fan. At first he didn't believe it wasn't Perry. He thought it was a demo from 79. :D

I know that's the only clip I've heard of him. I want to hear more. Anyway Gotham City doesn't appear to have a website.

They do...just don't have clips. Doesn't appear that he sings much more than background anymore anyway.

Thanks. Look at that songlist. All secular music. I'm sure he'd jump on the Journey gig if he was asked. He's THE guy!!!!

I'd love to hear what he sounds like these days. If this is the route they're gonna take he blows Pineda out of the water. Plus, there's no chance that Kelty has malaria.
