Did anyone catch Clinton Portis defending this prick?? Keep in mind as you watch that this is a college educated man. Good thing he can play ball because public speaking clearly isn't his forte.

Did you see Stefan Marbury defending this prick? Same comment for Marbury about the bad speaking skills. My local news had a clip of him saying "people kill deers (yes he said "deers" and another stupid remark I can't recall). The sportscaster had a field day with his attitude and remarks. This ass didn't have any problem with what has transpired. Maybe he has some skeletons in his closet???

ATLANTA (AP) - An NAACP official says Michael Vick should be allowed to return to the NFL after serving his sentence for his role in a dogfighting operation. The president of the organization's Atlanta chapter says the Falcons quarterback is a human being who has made a mistake and should be allowed to prove that he has learned from that mistake.

New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury also is defending Vick, calling dogfighting a sport and comparing it to hunting.

Vick is expected to plead guilty to a federal conspiracy charge on Monday. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to determine what punishment Vick will face from the league.

however, Clinton Portis is correct when he states at the end of that interview, that there are lots of back roads to dog fights,,, they are everywhere,, its a way of life for some folks,, they were raised fighting dogs , and chickens... its big in texas... disgusting, but real...i never hear about cops busting up dog fighting rings around here..

Gee, the NAACP finally speaks on this! Took them long enough. Oh, well....OJ got his second chance, so why not Vick?? People like them, Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson need to stop defending the bad actions of others just because they share the same skin color. Racism at it's highest level, if you ask me.

The despicable bastard basically said he saw nothing wrong with what Vick did. He basically said "people kill deers and other furry creatures, and dogs are no different." Tell that to the dogs that were electrocuted, strangled, drowned, beaten, and thrown out the window.

PETA and ASPCA are and have been all over it, they have been extremely instrumental in keeping this case in the media. They won't stop until justice is served. I haven't read this entire thread so sorry if this has already been brought up, but this type of stuff dates back to slave days. The sad thing is that this Vick prick most likely learned it from his dad or grand dad.

Thanks for the info. I haven't heard anything about that in the media. The NFL is ready to let him slide, what with a "fine" and maybe some jail time (please tell me how that will work). Sorry, but I think all these scum should be banned; maybe others would think twice. There is absolutely no excuse for this ...not anywhere...not anytime.
