The Quality Inn, but I think it has actually changed its name. Gimme a day or two and I'll let you know.

JrnyVal--
You are NOT staying near the United Center. That is not a nice neighborhood. You will not be walking anywhere after that show, except to a cab to take you to your hotel. If you can, spend the extra money to stay downtown. If you can't spend the money, stay out in the suburbs. I'm not kidding. The neighborhood around the United Center is no place for a couple of women to be out and about after dark.

Ok, thank you very, very much! I have been on travelocity looking at hotels, and have found some for cheap, but the reviews are NOT good on the majority of them. Super 8 Bridgeview has a 5 "star" rating, but there's only one review. LOL It says it's located 17 miles from downtown, won't that be a huge taxi fare?? Thanks for your advice, we appreciate it!

You're correct...kind of. While it's not nearly as bad as it used to be, it's still probably not safe for 2 women. However, there will be 15,000 people at that show so it's not like they'll be alone. I was thinking of something straight east...maybe in Greektown. It's close and affordable and Greektown at night is a great place to carouse around. Great food. Eat at The Parthenon. Their food is outstanding, not to mention affordable. I believe the Quality Inn or whatever it's called now is in close proximity to Greektown and an affordable ride from The U.C.

Well, we will be driving ourselves from here to IL, so we'll have either her van or my car. Greektown sounds great!!!! You're more than welcome to join us for a meal, if you want to! I promise, we don't bite......hard......;) LOL

"Club Quarters" - West Adams St., downtown Chicago. Mark and I stayed there in mid August. Very nice! :D
http://www.clubquarters.com/home_pub.asp

Here's a customer review:

"Rooms are small but clean. Room size is fine for two people but probably not adequate for a couple with small kids in the room. Adams Street location is great with Berghoff Restauarant, Sears Tower, Chicago River Shuttle, Union Station and the art museum all within easy walking distance. The bar and restaurant adjacent to the hotel served decent food and good drinks at fair prices. Hotel staff was courteous and accomodating. No small feat on a weekend when they were full and very busy.
As a tourist I actually preferred this location to where I normally stay which is near Water Tower Place. Less people, but still convenient to Michigan Ave shopping and Navy Pier via water shuttle or taxi"
