Does anyone else agree with me that the message Journey should get from its fans is that:

If it isn't JSS or SP PLEASE don't continue!!

Alright - Mickey Thomas would be pretty cool too.

Though I would welcome Hunsicker, reality tells me that it's Perry or bust.

I hope you're right.

The recent events with Journey don’t make sense to me.

If it was "just about the money" they would have kept JSS. He would have been easy money in the bank with his stage presents, and talent. They could have toured another 5-10 years and produced a few albums.

My guess: it was an ego thing with Schon/Cain
Or
Some piece of information we may never learn.

I'm on the bubble right now with Journey and will only support them IF they put out a great product.

Journey is done.

Just have fun with the past. It's over.

No way......If they tour, people will pay money to see them. Most are not hard-core like us and follow the crap. They see Journey’s ad on Ticketmaster or a local venue and will spend. Some Journey concert-goers don't even know a Steve Perry from Steve Augeri to a Steve Ercle (now there's a pretty image). They just know some of the songs and the brand Journey and will pay to see that.

Journey may not be what it was in the mid 80's (yes I have been to a few). However in my opinion they have produced decent shows with SA and JSS.

If Journey finds someone who does the catalog justice plus adds something talent-wise (like JSS) I will support them.

Sort of

Perry Journey is done but you know they'll grab someone and ride this into the ground. I mean, come on, they're scouring the earth for a replacement.

To me it's either Journey with Steve Perry or shut this whole thing down and start a new side project. Nowadays Journey IS a tribute band to 80's Journey. The magic of Journey is heavily disturbed because of these personnel changes. Now only Steve Perry rejoining can fix this and preferably Steve Smith as well. (Nothing bad against Deen though, but if you want to get back to their prime then do it well). Otherwise the band should call it a day before they make things even worse.

I'm not saying they've made bad music with Steve Augeri, but Journey lost the magic of what it used to be.

That's what was so great about JSS. They had recaptured that magic. When I saw them last year, it reminded me of old Journey. This is not a swipe at SA, but they seemed like a tribute band with him. With JSS they seemed like a band that mattered again.

Call JSS and plead with him to come back!

Jeff was their last hope.

Heck, to get me back on board with a Perryless Journey was a miracle in itself. I LOVED Jeff with them.

They blew it.

I would also welcome Jeremey Hunsicker, if they put out new material AND it was good.

Although part of me would like to see Perry or nothing...

Mickey Thomas??? Where does that nonsense come from??

Like I said in another topic.

Get Perry back and Steve Smith.

If that would be a NO, Quit the Journey and start another project or persuade John Waite to revive Bad English.
It would also be kewl if we would get The Storm with Chalfant, Smith, Rolie, Valory, and Ramos back again. 8)

Journey's already 6 feet under, pushing up daisies.

JSS and anybody who would ever consider hitcthing a ride to that trailer would have to be either stupid...or drunk...or both.

For the record, I don't think JSS is stupid at all...

Stupidity belongs to Ass, and his sidekick, Asswipe.
