Hey, without going down the negative road...
Does anybody have any info on what Augeri's doing? I know that the TS thing was being worked on and also possibly a solo album but I've heard no concrete details on any of it.
Does anybody have any details on him?

Probably enjoying some well deserved rest. I'm sure he will not be heard from until Journey addresses the lead singer vacancy.

Maybe he's taking a lesson from Perry and just hiding out. Seriously, I hope the guy does something. It's never going to sell bazillions but who cares? I dig the guys voice, always have and I'd like to hear him do some new stuff.

Meanwhile, somewhere a manufacturer of red leather pants is explaining to his children that they, in fact, can not attend college.

I'm supposed to meet up with Augie and go to some Yankee games next week. We might take in some sightseeing up at peggy's Cove, Newfoundland.
SA and I are tight.

I've never heard anyone at home call him Augie until the BT :::cough,cough,cough::: boards.
Come on, Dean, you certainly can't be coming to the East Coast so soon after having those 'lil cuties!

Aren't you still recovering???
Seriously, hope all is well at home and that Lulu and the tikes are doing great!

Brooklyn = Yankees, trust the Lawnguyland girl with the Brooklyn roots.
and if he is a Mets fan he should be ashamed of himself.

I've been wondering about that myself. I hope he comes out of this alright. Regardless of what went down, I'm still betting on him being a decent person.

From what I have heard, he will release a solo cd at the end of the year, and a Tall Stories 2 cd at some point.I am not sure if this will happen, but I will welcome it, even more than what Journey will put out ,which is zero cause they dont even have a fucking singer. All my freinds ask me how many Journey concerts did you go to this summer. They were surpised when I said none, they dont have a lead singer. Not only the band looks like shit for what they did, I look like a dick for following a band for four years that dosent even have a lead singer anymore. Journey embarrassed themselves really bad but even worse, they embarrassed us diehard fans .I havent been to any concerts this year, which meant not going to the theme parks that my daughter and and I would go to on the way to see Journey{Hershey Park} ect. The band let me down, and it didnt have to be that way. Im about over it,but I wonder if it was worth the money they made on the Dep L. tour, to blow off this summers tour ,and throw away 2 singers, and now they have no one,or a web site to promote them??I just dont see any business sense to what they did,let alone any loyallty to there fans or themselves as musicians.I have totally lost respect for Journey. Ill fucking drive 5 hours to see what Augeri s doing, or to see if he can even sing again, that will be more entertaining for me

I believe he had PLANS to release CDs, but probably won't because he knows they won't sell at all. Maybe a handfull of BT followers would buy them, but he would lose money trying to get them out.
I doubt we will ever hear from him again.

If the problem is the production costs I may agree, but if the music is ready he can always sell the songs in the form of MP3-files.
I'd buy it all !!

True, but how do you advertise an album that goes straight to iTunes? Your Website? Might as well just sell them there.
And I have to wonder how many hits his site gets, aside from the same BT groupies over and over again.
I could be wrong, but again, I doubt we ever hear from him again.

It really sucks, but I have to admit:
You're probably right.

His site has never been really up. I would imagine that when he gets ready to promote the new releases, the site will become active. That's my hope. Thanks for not derailing the thread too much with negativity (I totally understand it), but I hadn't heard anything in a while, so I thought I'd ask. In spite of what happened, I like the guys voice and him as well. If there's a problem with that, so be it. Thanks.

I think you will notice the "piling on" has pretty much stoppped.
I wasn't trying to be mean, just truthful.

Knox, the comment wasn't directed at you. Just in general. Used to be you couldn't mention Augeri's name without things just going crazy.

I didn't think it was. I said that because I used to be an Augeri Hater and piled on whenever I could.
Now I am just indeferent.

Too true.
Now it's Neal.
And the best part of that is, amidst all the sanctimonious bashing, nobody has the slightest damn clue about the interworkings of this band at this time.

well now you're not really indifferent if you choose to post something negative in a thread that a fan of his started with good intention are you.
I understand what you're saying about sales, but it does seem that most melodic rock artists are selling their music through Itunes, CDBaby, etc., and their own websites. It seems that only the heavy hitters with huge corporate backing, rap stars, and country artists are making it to shelves in Target and Walmart. The majority of the artists that Andrew promotes on his site are on independent labels and selling direct. That is just the nature of the music industry. I think the majority of these guys are in it more to be doing what they love than for the money. The money days are gone unless you win American Idol. And that only lasts for a season.

He will sell a certain amount, will probably get a deal with Frontiers i would imagine,he has a number of bored middle age housewives from BT waiting for him
To be honest it will be hard as the questions regarding him miming with Journey will haunt and hinder his future i feel.

I suppose there is a fine line between "negative" and "truthful".
Am I out to blast the guy like in the past? No, not at all. I used to have a hatred for him. That is gone.
I just answered in the most likely scenario as I see it.
You are right about Target and Walmart sales - which is where most of the retail music is bought these days. In truth, I would like to see him make it, just to spite Journey.
But I am not looking for it either way.
