I think they did for the red 13 cover and the generations cover. Chris I believe his name is. He's now posting over at TBJF.

That was Christopher and he's actually been posting a bit over at the TBJF... http://www.journeyforums.com/viewtopic. ... 118593d3ff

There's a pic of a cool album cover there, too.

The TBF artwork is cool IMO. I see it as Biblical references...

I can't say it's my fave but I definitely liked TBF's cover better than
a couple of the others.

Ha! No wonder I don't like it ;)

Explain the references...

Personally, I thought putting that stupid scarab on almost every album was boring, redundant, played out and mindless. It's a fucking beatle...big deal. Yeah, yeah...the ancient Egyptian symbol for whatever. TBF blows away anything with the scarab on it.

Perhaps he's referring to the jar of clay with the scarab emblem on it. The title track has lyrics that go "Treasures in the jars of clay. Let the light shine in the darkness". The jars of clay part is a reference to 1st Corinthians 4:7..."But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."

The TBF cover is so amazing. I see something new each time I look at it. The scarab is on there (on that clay vase, right?). But its quite symbolic. I like it.

the cat with the baby is Bastet. She was a daughter of Ra and said to be the personification of the spirit of Isis. She was the goddes of joy, music, dancing and birth, health and healing. One legend says that Bastet accompanied Ra's boat of a million years on its daily journey through the sky and at night she fought Ra's enemies. She is usually depicted as a cat-headed woman carrying a sistrum basket, or as a whole cat.

To me she is just plain old Aunt B!!!!

Didn't Steven Adler do the artwork for both? Wasn't he GNR's drummer back in the day?

Adler did the artwork for TBF I know, it was in that radio interview from '96. The one where Perry sings the dirty elmo song.
Cain was talking about it and Perry up and dials his machine to check his messages while Jon was talking, it was priceless.
