Is Arnel even still in the running?

Why is it taking so long to announce a JSS replacement? Is Arnel waiting in the wings while they try and plea with SP to rejoin them?

Why care about who Journey is getting for a lead singer. The Journey I know is dead in the water.

Journey is dead.

Who cares who the new singer will be? Maybe the two Fricks should cross the Pacific and stay there..

Although William Hung might work...

Mate this band died in 1996. The quality was never the same, the vocals just got worse and the songs got worse.

RIP.

Yet the money keeps rolling in...which is the ONLY thing that matters when you're a corporation.

Arnel?

I think they have moved on or perhaps backwards.

Maybe they can save themselves a singer's wages by putting up a cardboard cut out of SP and play along to their own Greatest Hits CD's at gigs?

So, both Jeremey and this Arnel guy have auditioned but been passed over then? Is this official or speculation?
I haven't posted on here for a while, so I am out of touch.

Might as well. It's as sane an idea as any they're exploring currently.
Of course that creates a problem with likeness rights... maybe just hang a tailcoat that smells like him from a mic stand.

I hope your finding comfort in dealing with
the loss of your Mum......Humongo Hugs to you lady!
You should have been around here Friday night, I was in rare form.
You would have shaken your English accent off.

Thanks Moonie. You are one of the reasons I still come on here. :)

It's very hard coming to terms with it. As everyone knows who has lost someone dear. And I keep sobbing every so often.
It was sudden and she had not been ill, so it was a terrible shock. I guess I am still IN shock.
But, I am finding comfort in the fact that she did not suffer from a long illness or any pain.
The grief washes over me in waves, but I have to start getting back to living my life now, don't I? And I just felt like a little MR banter to help me along.

It's hard catching up when you've been away, however.
This Arnel guy had totally slipped under my radar.
Was he - or is he - a serious contender for the job? :?

Well thank you SusieP!

I sure do know what your talking about there.
My Daddy's biggest pet peeve with me was when I
would chew ice cubes, he'd walk by me and smack me upside the back of my head.
I chew em now all the time and sometimes I laugh in the memory sometimes I cry.
Either way it always feels great to remember him.

Arnel who?.....I have nothing to offer in that conversation.

Hope this day is a good one for you lady! :)

See....you are cheering me up already. You are a real tonic. :)

I want to see plenty of photos of you with everyone at South Bend.
And I hope you have a really great time.
No way I can afford to make the trip, but I expect a full report when you all get back.
It won't be long now.

Shame Journey haven't hired their new singer yet. They could perform an hour's set!

You have helped make me feel better, Moonie.

I'm so sorry about your mom (or mum) Susie. This crazy place can be a good way to escape from reality at times.

Thanks lar - you are another of the reasons why I come on here. Never a dull moment.

It's weird, this cyber space thing - but people you have never met, and are never likely to meet can be a great comfort to you in times of sadness.

And this place is kind of like a bar where you pop in from time to time and chat with your mates.
Sometimes you laugh, sometimes you argue with each other, sometimes you cry.
Thanks for taking time to respond to my post everyone. It does help. It really does.
I wasn't ready to even discuss it until now, or to come on here and post but it's been a few weeks now, and I felt it was time for me to be doing 'normal stuff' again.
Now all I need is for Deano to insult my Euro armpits or my teeth and I can start to get back on track.

No worries woman I'll make sure you find the thread
when it starts filling with pics.

Thanks for the warm fuzzy words, what a nice thing to say.
I know I have always enjoyed having you here in Wombat's home.
Thank you as well ohsherrie. :D
