Sorry dudes, but I'm a native speaker and I don't hear any accent. He talks a bit on this survivor clip and even says something naughty like Deano, and I don't hear anything. I think he may speak English better than Augeri, who kind of jumbled his words now and then.

I agree that the accent thing is massively exaggerated, it's not that bad.

But I think your taking things a bit too far on the Augeri thing.

Neal jumbled words {when he spoke] more than anyone.He would have to read his shit from a peice of paper except whe he talked out the side of his mouth.

He has an accent but it's not as big of a deal as it is being made out to be. Journey on!

Like i've said before, if they really can't find a better frontman than this guy, please retire and leave at least a little bit of dignity with the Journey name.

Say what you like, apart from the missed cue that is an awesome performance of a very hard tune.

I'd still rather have Jeff fronting the band, but this guy sounds great IMHO.

all the loose ends will be tied together before he takes the stage with Journey and he will be great, wait and see.

I can hear it very slightly and not often enough to be a problem when he sings...with practice, he will shake it..Great tone and phrasing when he sings.

I think he will be a great fit for the band.

Throw a little time and money at a few of his little issues and everything will be fine.....

He sounds great singing Journey (faint accent, but ehh). A terrific singer.

As a SPEAKER, he's a hell of a vocalist.

I think your right, they'll probably do fine. But the Journey 'spark' is gone for me.

Maybe it has been discussed before as I don't check out this site too often but was Kevin Chalifant ever considered as their singer?

Based on demos I've heard on this site & his previous work he seems like a natural..

Yep, there's an accent there. I'll stick with Evolution or Frontiers as they now sound more like Journey than Journey does/will. Dude, how can you be pulling for this guy after all of the shit you dished when Jeremey was in the running?

And the comment about Augeri is bollocks. Augeri did a great job in Journey and took the fuckin pipe. Every one of those assholes knew what was going on when Steve was struggling. I'd take Steve A. over Arnel for sure. That comment ain't right dude ....
