Hey everyone, i've tried to think of the best way to review and share some of my thoughts and experiences of this past summer, and if anyone's interested, i've decided to start blogging about it. there won't be any dirty laundry aired or anything like that, just more of a way for me to digest my experience and move on. Anyway, if anyone's interested, i've posted an entry today, and here's a link:

Comforting to know I was being ousted before that gig, I knew about them calling Chalfant already but it's amazing how cool & collect they remained all the while backstage & during the gig although Oscars shouldn't be handed out just yet....I felt there was something in the air!

And that is why I am done with Journey. I may be old fashioned or whatever... but I need to know that the people I support are good people. These guys are absolutely shameless. Great role models for their kids too.

What the audience felt in the air was magic - from YOU. Fortunately on this, your solo tour(thank God I got to be there for 2 nights of it), YOUR audience is feeling that magic you bring!! You are on fire! You are the best!!

Interesting stuff Jeremey... couldn't help but laugh at this:

"maybe journey had finally had enough of frontiers and was sending in the big guns to set us straight (we’d had some legal run-ins in the past, and journey was notorious for their disdain of tribute acts".

I would rather see frontiers at this point, Journey has become a joke.

Hey JSS... keep rockin' you are better off without those turds.

Dude, you are among the coolest and most down to earth people I have ever met in this business. Whatever was going on behind the scenes among the band at that point, i wasn't privy to, but having gotten my taste of the way things are handled and considered in that organization, I can only imagine how you must feel. Thanks for your words of support once this thing broke open...I know you've landed on your feet and in the long run are in a better place than you would have been staying in that organization. Your experience must have been extra shitty, knowing the previous relationship you had with the Schonalator.

Jeff, as a PS, you should know at this point i wasn't approached from "we are looking for a new singer," only that JC wanted to hear me since they had time off. More details @ that conversation in the next entry...

I know you loved your position there, but you were working with scumbags. I'm not calling Ross or Deen that, just the other two. Neal and Jon can go piss up a well rope. Those two have no clue about friendship, or even appreciation when you saved their asses. You saved them gobs of money and YOU get fucked.

Sorry for the rant. Still pisses me off.

Arnel, watch your fucking back dude.

That makes me hate Journey even more..
The way they treat people and friends is unbelieveable!

Your an amazing performer Jeff and you can bet Journey wont see one red cent from me.
Keep moving ahead and you can bet Krista and I will be there with bells on. :)

Jeff, I am so sorry for the crap they put you through. But you have to admit, you are alot better off without them. It was dirty and crude, but you possess a few things they counldn't possibly have the knowledge of in their lifetimes, thats INTEGRITY, PRESENCE AND TALENT.

Hoping you come to the east coast, Va, NC or SC area because you can be assured I will be out there listening to you!

I will. Ross or Dean could have called Jeff and let him know to start looking for a new gig, and not to cancel any other touring plans, etc.

At the very least they could have called him after the fact and let him know that they were sorry for what happened, and how it happened.

If that is the case, then "good call" Ross. At least there may be one decent person in that band. But if they knew beforehand (at the Virginia gig), they should have told him, even if thru another person.

Theyre all scumbags, even Ross and Dean. If they werent they wouldve at least called Jeff the past 3 months!
Everyone that KNEW about Jeff's dismissal before Jeff did is a scumbag in my opinion!

Jeremey,
remember dude when I told you that they will fuck you over too, didnt I !?
Both you and Jeff are better off without them though...

Although I already knew much of what I just read, it is nonetheless heartbreaking for both Jeff and Jeremey. We had such a wonderful time that weekend, and looking back, not knowing what shit was about to hit the fan, fills me with incredible sadness. Especially given everything that has happened since.

I would just like to say how much I respect both of these men for the way that they have handled this eff'd up situation. Your professionalism and class are certainly hard to come by in such a crazy business. I just think so much of both of you, and feel confident that in the end, BOTH OF YOU will come out on top in this situation.

I look forward to future Frontiers shows, and I'm am SOOO psyched about the JSS performances in LaPlata and South Bend.

Thank you Jeff and Jeremey for all you've given me in the past year.

Jeremey, sorry to hear about your wife having to suffer hormone-related panic attacks - those are not pleasant.
And, Jeff you sure don't need JRNY - they are going no where creatively...the JSS Band & the new songs last Friday night were super. :)

Especially after this weekend, witnessing your talent first hand and seeing what 'genuine' people you and Bec are, I full-on believe they really didn't deserve you, by any stretch! Stand tall Jeff! (no pun intended) You have more people than you know standing behind you. :D

Oh Geeze

Everyone else has said it all. If it feels like a punch in the chest just to READ it, I can't imagine the feelings LIVING it.

I do believe Gary said it best when he called it all "B***S***".

I was at the Redwood City concert. I can't even find the words to express how much fun (thrilling!) that was. You have got to be feeling the fan base. We are out there and you are one class act, Jeff.

I'll never spend another cent on Journey again - and so much for "memories remain". I'll remember, alright.

That 'bout sums it up.

Since we're all giving our opinions here, I'll give mine. Jeff and Jeremey both got treated unprofessionally. In Jeff's case, he was treated like an enemy rather than a friend. How a group of individuals could treat someone they consider a friend like THAT is mind boggling. It just makes no sense. Jeremey's treatment was more on par with what I'm used to from these guys. Jeremey wanted a little time to step back, think of all parties involved, how this would affect his family, and make a proper decision with the required time something so big would require. However, he didn't realize that Journey would NEVER be interested in someone that isn't in awe of them. Someone that might actually put family ahead of money. That certainly sealed his fate.

In the end, everyone loses. Journey loses out on the 2 best choices to front the band and Jeff and Jeremey are denied the proper time to receive the exposure they need and the time it would require to accumulate a fan base. My prediction is Jeremey will continue his 9 to 5 job and his very successful Frontiers band. Jeff will tour a bit, put on some great shows, but ultimately continue to fly under the radar as an artist. Both guys lost out way more than Journey, as they can't ride Steve Perry's coattails like the pseudo-Journey can. And that's what sucks most.

Truth or not Saint John why did you have to throw
the asshole card out there, we already know you are one.
