Hey Jeremey (I spelled it right this time), a quick question. I don't want to open any cans of shite here but, after reading your blog, I was wondering if they ever told you why they were looking to make a change? I can understand the Augeri situation. I saw them a few times with Augeri and a couple of times with Jeff and there was a HUGE difference in the energy and vocal power that Jeff brought to the table. Not a knock on Steve, really, he's a different person with different talents and he's got (or had) a pretty good voice. But, when they brought Jeff in, the were able to use the "throat virus" and, to a lesser degree, the "tape gate" situations as the reasoning.
After hearing interviews with Jon and Neal saying how lucky they were to get Jeff...how the energy was the same as it was in the "Perry-era"...how the crowds just loved him and critics were saying that Journey was re-born...blah, blah. Then, to get fired for no reason seems, to say the least, messed up. It's like George Steinbrenner saying that he had the utmost faith in Billy Martin right before he fired him each time.
I realize that you might not be able to answer this, even if you know what the answer is. I don't want to cause any firestorms...I'm just curious.
