I got it.....still trying to figure out if I like it or not. :? Kinda seemed to have the same updated feel as Night Ranger's Hole In The Sun. To me at least. And that took me a while to like.

I think Oct.23rd is the Canadian release date. I believe Andrew said the US release was Nov. 6th

Crap. It is pretty damn good even on the 1st listen. Can't wait to buy it. I may have to buy a copy for my big sis who was a former Loverboy groupie when she was 16 :D

I'm one of the few people I know that actually liked "VI" when it came out. Sure it wasn't as upbeat lyrically, but some great songs on there, like "Tortured".

I never really got Loverboy, other than a couple of songs. Other than that, they really seemed like cheeserock to me. Plus that album cover for "Get Lucky" with the dude's ass right there in the picture just didn't do it for me.

Give this one a listen Dave. It's got a few harder edge songs than their pop stuff in the 80's. You may like it.

New album is good, especially opening track. Mike Reno sounds like he did 20 years ago.

Loverboy were a little on the cheesy side I agree but 'Wildside' in 1987 I thought was a really good rock album with spot on Fairbairn production - album full of good tracks especially Notorius and Love Will Rise.

Always thought tracks like Lovin Every Minute and Working For The Weekend were great Radio-rock/pop tunes...

They just didnt look like Bon Jovi or 87 Era Whitesnake so didn't get massive recognition?

I think their name kind of hurt them, too.

Yeah, but I vividly remember the first time I heard them. "Turn Me Loose" was on the radio, and I immediately loved it. Still do. Also love "When It's Over" and "Take Me to the Top".

Absolutely, they did write loads of top songs - the ones you list, particularly, When Its Over, I had forgotten about!

They did a few dates in London in 1988 at The Marquee Club (which was/is legendary but held 300 when full) a couple of which I caught with Honeymoon Suite. Both bands were on awesome form. Both Fairbain produced bands too.

I can't stop listening to this. Flippin' great! "Lost With You" is the only song I could do without. Even that one is okay.
"As Good As It Gets" is a great tune. Damn I love this!!!!
