Arnel is not now, nor was he ever, being seriously considered for the band. Time will prove that he will not sing with Journey. Nothing against him...I think he's great, but he's not a serious candidate for the position. Period.

What I do think is that Drew, like many others, is believing what Journey says and appears do be doing, when history has shown us that what we "hear" they're doing is never really the case. Remember, Journey also told us that Augeri never used pre-recorded vocals and that they were excited to have Jeff as their new singer and were optimistic about the future. How truthful was that?

Great point. The Police were the number one concert of the summer, raking in 91 million bucks for a short tour. Journey has to be licking their chops at the thought of Perry returning and helping them gross in one small tour what they would over the next 5 years. I have a feeling they'll cave to just about all of his demands should he be willing to tour.

If he's gone so far as to categorically claim Arnel the guy, you can take it to the bank.

I think if they did 5 huge dates with Perry he could ask 65% of the net profit and it would be more than Journey has seen in all the total years since 1996 . Catalog sales would zoom. It would be nat'l news like everytime Perry shows up anywhere. Probably it would get them in the R & R HOF, but I don't think much of them. St John you save me typing and say things much better !

Some say this AP stuff is a smokescreen for Perry returning. I hope that's true but REALLY doubt it.

It would be real interesting to know the take home pay from individual band members, from the recent reunions such as Van Halen...The Police, Genesis..

The fact is no matter what singer they get with the exception of Perry they are on their last legs as a band and i have serious doubts that the tours will do good buisness!
I truly belive that if Perry is able to tour with them he will, its the only way to save the Journey name, and i am quite sure that there have been steps to try and put the Escape line up together again BUT if that happens is another matter.
Journey as thay stand today have become laughable
