Generations

I love the disc, but have only listened casually to it in my car. I knew that some of the other members sang tunes on it, but after recent discussion here I popped it back in to pay much closer attention to it. Guess I hadn't realized that almost half the songs were sung by guys other than Steve A! Again, I had just listened casually to it while driving, so now I'm realizing how much many of the other guys have a very "Perryish" quality to their voice, including Jon and Neal (in overall tone, but not phrasing). Nothing like Steve A or Deen at all, but their voice just goes well with the Journey sound, kinda like the raw material is there -- it just doesn't clash.
Deen's songs I guess I didn't realize were Deen until I read the discussion here and then read the vocal credits on the CD insert. The song that mainly sticks out like a sore thumb to me is "Goin Crazy" w/Ross -- NOTHING like Journey... haha! I also know many people here are not fans of "Self Defense", but I think it's a pretty cool song.
Also didn't realize there was a video on the disc, and watched it when I popped it into my PC.
