My aunt was the producer of the show's secretary. For Christmas one year, the whole family got Solid Gold t-shirts. javascript:emoticon('')

She also worked for Richard Simmons at one point. She has led an interesting life.

There's a strong contingency that think Richard Simmons is a homosexual.

Yeah, I know how you feel. It's one of those shockers. I put it right up there with how shocked I was when I found out Rock Hudson was one.

Wow. Watching that kind of... hurt. Yikes.
Were we ALL that ridiculously lame in the 80s and we just didn't notice?

(and I admit - I watched that show too)

I think you're right. It was a acute case of lame-itis, a response to disco-itis of the 70s. We all fell for it - it was an all encompassing lame.

I'd blame MTV but I didn't have it until 1991!

Never wanted to be one, just wanted to look like one :P ! Is it just me, or does seeing Rex Smith in that video make you think of Justin Guarini?? Just a thought.
