Well, I think he's a douchebucket....

...but I love Neal's playing...as much as I rag on the fuckwad...

And this is a cheap way to get my hands on a floyd loaded lester (have you guys seen how much Gibson wants for those fucking NS models?):

Any of you guys ever buy an agile?

They're not bad for a cheap import, but if you're willing to put down about $500-600, go for a Burny. They're Japanese Fernandes guitars and very well built

Not a bad price with that Floyd Rose on it. Shit, those cost nearly that much.

That trem is a LICENSED copy, not a real Floyd. You can get the copies for $25-60 on evilbay depending on seller and which copy it is. The one on the agile is an extremely cheap copy and the gold will wear or flake off quickly

Yeah, the hardware will obviously be suspect....but I supose that if the floyd was chear, I could yank it, sell it on evilbay for 20 bucks...and buy a gotoh-licensed floyd (which is the best licensed floyd out there) or a ping for another 60-70 bucks, net. The pickups wold have to go as well...

All in all, I could put another (liberally estimated) 200 bucks into the guitar, and make it a real player.

As far as the gold on the hardware....I know for a fact, that the hardware on this and the other agiles, is gotoh stuff...which is GOOD stuff. Gold plated hardware will, over time, fade and go chrome anyway. Hell, you can even remove the plating with some solution, if you want....which I might do....as then it just reveals itself as chrome.

It's still a great axe for 250 bucks.....it's getting really tough not to pull out the plastic...

My next purchase will probably be a Marshall amp. May grab another guitar, too. Haven't looked around yet.

Never have had an Agile. I have a Peavey licensed Floyd Rose on my USA Wolfgang that has been great. My next purchase will be an ESP MH400 with active EMG's and a big fat Floyd.

my experience with marshall is that marshalls are made for the BIG STAGE.. but this JCM is the one to buy for a combo for club gigging... its LOUD and all tube.. not class A though....but too expensive...
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=483197

the MG series are very good.. but really not for gigging much..great for the house though.. they can sound really metal , just dont have that "real" sound... i was very disapointed with marshalls AVT series.. the hybrid solid state/1 tube in the preamp..... i bought it because it said Marshall ,,,

this Laney is the one to try !!...

http://www.music123.com/Laney-VC30-112- ... 6.Music123

its only rated as a 30 watt, but its got the volume to play any club.. anything larger could be miked through the P.A...amazing sound... true class A.. and in my opinion beats up pretty bad on the marshall....

ive been playing with a Hot Rod Deluxe blonde for a couple of years and love it!!! i put an Ibanez tube screamer pedal in front of it and it becomes my sound...
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=480862

i also love the Line 6 flextone III!!!! every cool sound you can think of... doesnt project like a tube amp .. but is amazing..

loader balls at both ends.. i almost ordered one too have a floyd rose , but the strings are high dollar..
i ran accross an ESP m-350 neck through the other day and picked that one up ... is fun... i dont know
how to play a floyd rose , but i can dive bomb!! 8)

Line6 has teamed with BOGNER to create a TUBE amp...

http://www.line6.com/spidervalve/

I've owned the Flextone III Plus and it's a wonderful amp however this new Spider Valve is the BEST of both worlds.

I was thinking about getting one of the burny's with the sustainer and FR. Is this a good idea?

I never really buy amps any more....I make all of my amps at this point. I just completed a Komet Concorde build and my main amp is a JCM800 that I built last year....It's based on the main 2204 schematic but I modded it for alot more gain....I don't need a pedal for it...just plug in and instant VH tone.

I don't have the money to buy any more guitars than the one that I have and I wish I had not gotten Floyd Rose-style guitar. I don't like the tone as well.

It's a decent idea. The Burny guitars are very well built and have the weight and tone of a real Gibbo

The gold quickly wore off my Epi LP in places. I took it completely apart and used Brasso and a buffing wheel on a dremel to buff down to the chrome/nickel. A few places on the PU's, tailpiece and saddle were even worn past the nickel plating, probably from the salt. I replaced the PU's with Seymour's (no cover). It took forever and something I don't want to do any more. I'll never buy another with gold HW.

This is what I did to my epiphone LP. I put a Kahler studmount locking trem and a Fernandes sustainer system on it.
IT's about as close as I will ever get to what neal has

It was about $700-$800 brand new and I purchased it in the early 90s. I would guess $400 or so. I'd have to look at it closely but I think the finish is still in pretty good shape. Some of the hardware might need to be replaced, though, but it hasn't been played a ton nor beat up much at all.

I'm a lefty all the way... write lefty, throw lefty, eat lefty, all my guitars are lefty. Even when I play my wii have to set up my control for lefty. How can you play guitar right handed and swing a club righty?. Did you just start doing it that way or did it just feel natural to do so?

OK...Two more questions...I'm totally clueless on this stuff.

1 - Any special packaging to ship this thing? It comes with a hardshell case (has a bit of white paint on one of the top corners but it's not all that noticeable).

2 - Honestly, am I asking WAY too little for this? I've never sold anything like this before, either. I'm not trying to maximize how much I'm getting because I don't care all that much about it but I don't want to ask way too little, either.

honestly , think how much you want for it,, for some reason , the PINK ones seem to go for more money.. 8) the HM strat didnt take off for teh long run.. but i watched Greg Howe shred one in front of me in the early 90's.. its a great guitar.. a strat with a floyed? very cool...

packaging? you put the hardshell in a box.. or cut 2 boxes and tape them together in the middle.. the hardshell does the job..

this guitar is worth more than you will get for it .. think about ebay.. if not ,, if you really want to rid yourself of it .. let me know.. i will even send you a pic of me with it at Big Johns Holiday Inn ..  the crappy part at the back of the parking lot.. no lighting .. easy pot.... 8) on a harley
