This is the first year in many years that Indiana has been on daylight savings time. I think Arizona and Hawaii are still the only ones that don't follow it. I wish we had stayed that way and the rest of the country had gone off DST. Doesn't make any sense.

Changing the clocks is almost as stupid as New Year's Eve parties. A bunch of stupid fuckers running around in silly hats singing that excruciatingly ridiculous song that 99% of the country can't even pronounce.

Screw standard time... Where has the year gone?? A random extra hour, great one more thing to screw up my sleep pattern.
Speaking of Auld Lang Syne, all the Charlotte AC stations are all Christmas songs now. Heard Same Old Lang Syne today, still makes me cry.

I think anyone that sings along to that song should be executed.

I think he was talking about the song by Dan Fogelberg, which is a decent song. Otherwise, I'm with you.

Are you referring to the NYE song or Dan Fogelberg? I agree that the NYE song is lame.

I'm referring to that nauseating NYE song.

Ahh... okay, good. I really am not in the mood to be executed.
And Larry, don't feel guilty about a little Same Old Lang Syne sing-a-long... that is by far one of my favorite Christmas song other than TSO's Christmas Eve in Sarajevo. SOLS is like a scene from anyone's life, such a great song. The only song in the history of humanity to make me tear up everytime.

TSO slays all other Christmas music.

we set ours back an hour last week, we have set times in the UK, it's always the last weekend in October when we do it, and it's the same in Spring too always the last weekend in March...but it's amazing how many people forget!

I forgot until I got up this morning and couldn't figure out why the CBS affiliate Sunday morning news cast wasn't on.

Our VCRs "changed their times" - by themselves - last Sunday.

....completely messed me up! LOL
(must've been some "calendar pre-set" thing...)
Did that happen to any of you?

yes, that happened to me too.
*I was going to sleep in this morning the extra hour, but the

My computer at school did - I guess it was a server programming thing. Once I realized what had happened it was ok... Imagine a school district being "ahead" of the times. LOL!

They made this decision about moving the date to change back to EST out another week a couple of years ago but didn't implement the change until this year. Any electronic equipment with the time change programmed in before then would change over on the old date that was the last Saturday in Oct. They've been warning about it on the news all this week.

It does when it's still pitch dark at 7AM and kids are going to school!
