your right ,, last year they sounded not good , but GREAT!! fire and energy,, i have 3 audience shot vids proving that the Soto Revolution had taken hold and was busting out... this band is BORING in this clip... great sound.. but nothing visual,, needs a veteran frontman with leadership power.. 8)

Listening to his "Mother, Father" right now and I'm telling you he's fuckin' amazing. He goes above some of the Perry notes in the second to the last chorus.

Way too low and his delivery seems contrived. Perry's voice and delivery oozed with emotion and sincerity. Deen lacks that in a big way. The only band he should be fronting is Wild Dogs.

Agreed. Horses for courses but Jdrums voice lacks power to my ears. It kinda sounds like a raspy husk, if that makes any sense. He totally lacks the vocal power of Perry or JSS and I believe his voice would be shot in next to no time doing full shows. Also the image doesn't quite work. Kevin Chalfant, Arnel or the seemingly reinvigorated Hugo would be my Plan C (or in order Plans A, C and B)!

From the Thesaurus:

Main Entry: ooze
Part of Speech: verb
Definition: emit
Synonyms: bleed, discharge, drain, dribble, drip, drop, escape, exude, filter, flow, issue, leach, leak, overflow, percolate, perspire, seep, spurt, strain, sweat, swelter, trickle, weep, well

One and done. Perry gets 'em all. 8)

Deen is a wonderful singer. He just did not want to be a front man, I guess. Great clip!

Deen sounded great on Mother/Father when I saw them live. Do I think he has the chops to be the LV, no. But I think its kind of cool when he sings 2 or 3 tunes in the live set. He definately doesn't suck.

I'm not so sure that I would want to see him discharge, issue, leach, leak, or spurt emotion or anything else. Those things should be done in the privacy of one's own home. :D

I agree, Castro would have been an excellent choice. And I think we as fans would have accepted him as he was already part of the family. He definitely have the pipes to generate the right vibe. I would hope he could do it day in and day out on tour.

I know, he's stated it several times. I still think he'd be a good fit though.
