Hey Carlitto -

I was getting ready for work this morning and watching the news. There were stories about several parades yesterday in recognition of Veterans' Day - and I started thinking, "Next year Carlitto will be home marching in the parades, too".

It finally hit me, that on Veterans' Day, I forgot to say "Thank You" to you and your friends and colleagues in the military for everything you are doing for us.

Please tell everyone standing there with you how grateful we are for your sacrafices. And please thank Mrs. H@kk and your family for sharing your time with us. It is a great sacrifice for them too.

I cannot wait until you are home, safe, an old veteran, repeating the same old stories - it will be an honor to listen!!

Carl, thank you for doing what you do. Pass along to our other brave men and women that there is a disfunctional message board of crazy fuckers that wish them nothing but safety. God bless. Dan

Carl,

thanks for your service to the GREATEST COUNTRY on the planet--- In times of peril where does everyone else lean for help.. the USA Military. Europe cant do it, China wont do it and Russia still thinks its the 1950, 60s and 70s.

Yes indeed, a big thumbs up to Carl for his service. There are NO politics involved here. This is a soldier doing his job...and his fellow countrymen/women showing their appreciation.

Also, it is important to show gratification to past members of the military also. On this Board alone, there are others who should be patted on the back too. Stu (RVR) took a 7.62 mm slug in the knee by an enemy foe. I would like to tip my hat to him as well.

Thank you Carl and Stuart.

Are you sure you guys aren't married already??

My utmost and sincerest thanks to all of our military persons, past and present. My Papa was in WWII, and though he refused to talk about it, and it was understood that you didn't ever ask. He led by example, just as all the soldiers I've ever met do. My ex-boss's son is in Iraq right now and his wife is in California expecting their first child in January. I couldn't ever do anything like that, so your bravery and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. You're an inspiration. :)

My thanks to the U.S. military for their service and sacrifices. I wouldn't be able to sit here and type this if not for them.

My dad served 22 years in the Air Force as a Special Agent for the Ofice of Special Investigations. Some really incredible undercover stories he could tell you.

By the way, my thanks to past & present as well.

Oh to be a fly on the wall in a room where he spoke of such things!
That would be interesting indeedly!

This time of year always brings my memory back to my Uncle Specky.
The man was an early learner and surpassed his high school requirements by the age of 16.
Off to war his backside went and while in #2 his life changed.....he never returned the same.
Bless-ed be his soul for what he saw and lived through, from my families reply on it he
didn't even resemble the man he was when he left.
