OT: What would be your ULTIMATE Journey Re-make?

Ok, since there is a lot of talk on the possibility of Journey
re-recording the DD right now, as we speak, I got to thinking...

If I am correct, Open Arms and Faithfully have already been recorded by Country acts with fairly decent success.
Considering some of the newer/popular Pop/Rock/Alternative acts on the charts these days,
Can you name a current Band/Singer that you think could pull off a successful Journey remake and what song would it be?

One band that comes to mind for me is Disturbed.
Since I loved their remakes of Shout and Land of Confusion,
I could DEFINITELY hear Draimen's voice on a revved up, heavy "Chain Reaction".

Another one I thought of (Maybe cuz I am playing the HELL out of her latest album lately!)
is Vanessa Carlton; just her, a piano and maybe a string ensemble doing "Patiently".
Granted, this probably wouldn't be a radio hit but I think she'd sound amazing on this song.

So, Any Thoughts or Ideas?
have I completely lost my freakin' mind???

It was just a Hypothetical Question! I'm sure you could think of something...

BTW, laugh all you want but Vanessa is incredible and her new album,
Hero & Thieves is very impressive. 8)

Don't like any of the covers I've heard yet. Even though Chalfant is a great singer, I prefer him doing his own.

On the other hand, if they had covered some old classics that could've been interesting. Rush's Feedback album has some great tracks on it.

But since the post is picking a singer to cover J, Perry covering stuff off the 1st 3 albums would be cool.

Much lower of course, but I'd love to hear Tim McGraw give a shot at this and put his touch on it.

It would be cool to hear Schon and Mark Knopfler play a solo together as well, I love Mark's voice.
