Well if the average ticket price was $60.00 at a stadium that holds 60,000, then the gross income would be 3.6 million. The stadium rent, promoters, Azoff (if he gets a cut, it would be large) would all come off the top. Then you'd have to divvy up the rest between the boys. I'm guessing $300,000 at the most.

They'd end up with less that after they finish paying their backstage crew as well as the film crew that would record the footage for the DVD. They would be better off to just sit back and collect the royalties from their past work.

Actually, a one off, one stadium show would probably get more than I suggested as the average ticket price, no? I imagine a one off show with Perry in a stadium would draw whatever they wanted to charge. Who knows though?

My guess is that the ticket price would be WAY higher than $60. And they would get it. Look at VH ticket prices.

I paid over $100 to see Journey with JSS last year.

A one off concert?

That would be BIG BUCKS! Cheapest tix about $200 since people would come from all over the world for that.

I could easlily see the tickets down front hitting the 1000 dollar range or more. When you see the unpresented response for the Zep tickets, they could have charged the moon for em! They would sell out whatever the cost. Especially if it were a one time thing. I'd go!

Not much.
A tour would be a different story though...VH are taking home over $1m per show, so Journey would be the same I expect...for a full tour.

If Journey announces a Rose Bowl show they could back the fucking Brinks truck up and collect, however..........

I would think most promoters, buyers would insist on a full tour, unless Espee absolutely nixed it and then I believe someone like HBO would pony up dollars.

If they did one $300.00 show to 90,000 the revenue should be worth it. The DVD would sell like hotcakes and perhaps another show would happen. Glad to see you posting more Deano ! God Bless.
