This Forum Has Come Full Circle

When I first joined this forum it was after I got booted from the official Journey forum (BT) for being a diehard Steve Perry fan. My passion for the Perry-era of Journey didn't seem to go over well with the new generation of Journey fans who had only seen Steve Augeri sing the Steve Perry/Journey classics. When I made it known that I preferred the Steve Perry of Journey to the diehard Augeri fans, they gave me the left foot of fellowship.
When I first came here, this forum was all about Steve Augeri. I reluctantly swallowed my pride and adapted. After Augeri came and went, the core members of this forum devoted themselves to JSS, who took over for Augeri as Journey's new frontman. After JSS got his walking papers, this forum seemed to implode upon itself for a season. Andrew saw this happening, and had to put the brakes on so the forum didn't lose its identity as a positive force that supported the band Journey.
Now that Journey is attempting to hire its third Steve Perry replacement, I see this forum gradually returning to the passion that brought us all here to begin with: The Steve Perry version of Journey. It may seem like light years since we were able to enjoy Journey with Steve Perry at the helm, however, it is a common thread that binds us all together. It's not the Augeri, JSS, or Arnel version of Journey that brought us all together. It was the Steve Perry / Journey that made this forum the most popular forum on MelodicRock.com.
