Little River band releases new Christmas cd!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Thu Nov 22, 2007 12:09 pm

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let anyone who may be interested, that Little River Band has just released a new Christmas cd today. I've listened to several of the songs already, and think it's got some gems in it. I Especially like the song "Mary's Christmas". Keep in mind, this is coming from a keyboardist! Lol!!! It's very mellow, but is great for fans of the band (at least this incarnation of it). Have a great Turkey day, and enjoy! Go check it out...

As Maui Tom says,

This band has had SERIOUS issues! There's basically 2 versions of Little River Band floating around! This version has Wayne Nelson on vocals. He sang on "The Night Owls" and "Take it easy on me". They're kinda like Asia with the 2 versions. Some may like the other incarnation better. I get messages from both versions. I like this album though, and just thought some of you may like it. This one's for you Andrew!

The original band all are....this assclown isn't. Go search out BSG - that's the original band's new name after this guy won the right to use the name several years back.

That's just wrong. Most people who listened to the original lineup would buy the CD based on the band name, not even knowing it's not the real LRB! I'm glad this was brought to our attention on here.

Edit: No offense meant Jim. I'm just a set-in-my-ways oldtimer.

That's basically the same shit with Journey. They can do whatever they want, but it all comes down to the listeners ignorance. They buy the name.

See there...

I try to post something that's got a feel-good sound and spread the holiday cheer, and we're now band bashing and disputing a band's legal incarnations... Can't anything just be taken at face value here? All I was saying is that this band just released a Christmas cd!!! Thought SOMEONE here might enjoy it. I fucking give up!!!

Uh, Wayne Nelson is damn near an original member, singing on several hits and having been in the band for a long time. The current incarnation of LRB has produced nothing but excellent albums so far, politics aside. The Birtles Shorrock Goble DVD is one of the coolest DVDs around. People need to listen to the music a little more and not worry who's behind it, christ.

It's not Housden's fault B/G made a bad business decision years ago...

I just feel like this forum's gotten so damn negative the last few months, and Andrew, I also feel like you've got a beef with me about something! Maybe it's just me, but I feel nothing but negative vibes in here lately. If I've done something to offend anyone, PLEASE let me know! I've done nothing but try to be a positive poster in here, bring a joke every now and then, and share musical ideas with a few of you. Andrew, if you're offended, just let me know!

Sorry man,

I just feel like somethings changed in here. I used to come in here daily after work and have fun! It was the first thing I did when I got home. A lot of mornings, I'd even get on before work. I really looked forward to the friendships I had in here. Journey went through their shit, and everything's changed. The majority of people in here went from fun-loving joking people, to hardened, smart-ass band-bashers who do nothing but bitch and complain about EVERYTHING. Am I still a Journey fan? Yeah, and I always will be. I could give a shit less about Arnel being nominated as the new singer. As long as they still sound like Journey...I'm in. I disagree with HOW they're showcasing the new singer, but other then that I'm fine with them.

I'm not trying to get up here on a soap box, but things have changed. I went from having a feel-good vibe, to being depressed that all everyone's talking about is _____fill in the blank, then it always goes back to "Arnel eats dogs". Not trying to step on anyone's toes here, but those comments are RACIST AS HELL!!! If it's not about eating dogs, it's about some other stupid shit!!! On top of all this, I feel like Andrews got a beef with me, as he NEVER responds to anything I post, send him or otherwise. If he does post, it's always negative.

Again, if I've offended anyone I appologize. Just wish this place would be fun again.

No hate here at you Jim....just that LRB is not really LRB. Just a one time guitarist for them in the late 80s.
