OT: Your City's Sports Mount Rushmore

Because I know we have a huge amount of hardcore sports fans on here, I thought it might be fun to come up with our respective city's Mt. Rushmore of sports legends. Try to pick one guy from each sport. Obviously, if you live in a city that doesn't have all 4 sports, substitutions are allowed. My Boston Mount Rushmore would be as follows:
Bill Russell (Celtics)- Probably the most defensively dominant basketball player, EVER! 11 championships in 13 years is a record unmatched in ANY sport. As great as Jordan was, he didn't come close to that record. I'm a HUGE Larry Bird fan and watched his whole career, but I just think Russell's records are unmatched and earn him the spot.
Ted Williams (Red Sox) - In 19 years, the guy had a career 344 average, which is astonishing! He is also the last guy to hit over 400 in a season(406 in 1953). He missed 5 prime years of his career to serve in WWII, and still ranks near the top in many MLB categories.
Bobby Orr (Bruins) - Perhaps the most dominant hockey player, EVER (and yes, I've heard of Wayne Gretsky). Only defenseman, EVER, to win the NHL scoring title, and Orr did it twice! Scored over 100 points in 6 straight seasons. Orr was simply in a class by himself.
Tom Brady (Patriots) - Will go down as one of the top three QB's of all time. Has won three Super Bowls, with VERY average talent around him. Has proven this season that given the weapons, he is just as capable as his contemporary, Peyton Manning, of putting up eye-popping statistics!

Tough to argue with that list. Barry Sanders was the single, greatest football player that I've ever seen. Stevie Y was a GREAT hockey player. Kaline is a legend, and Isaiah should be thankful he had such a great playing career, because I'm not sure even Matt Millen (trying to stay with the Detroit theme here) has had a worse post-playing career!

That would be Indianapolis in my case...
We don't have an NHL or MLB team, so...
Reggie Miller
Peyton Manning
Marvin Harrison
Can't think of a good 4th choice.

Don't think we have any directly from my city. The only ones from the area that I can think of are Dat Nguyen of the Cowboys and Phil Blackmar from golf. We did produce some in non-traditional sports though.

Ripken is so overrated. Ground ball to 2nd base and into a double play. I saw him play day to day. Good but not great. Nice guy though.

My favorite Oriole was probably Eddie Murray. One underrated motherfucker. Dude was a hitting machine for a long time.

He was great, in my opinion. Fielded his position better than just about anyone else despite lack of speed but used good positioning, reflexes, and anticipation. Yes, he grounded into a lot of double plays, but he more than made up for that with his bat handling skills and by driving in runs. That's not to mention his .336 lifetime playoff batting average. Dude showed up when it counted.

Good call...He stayed productive for quite a long time and, even at the age of 40, was still hitting home runs (he had 22 at that age...without steroids).

I'm with Ed on this one. I always thought Ripken was an overrated player. I think a big part of it was his likeability. He was simply a good guy, who was impossible to criticize. He certainly has very good career numbers, but I was never "wowed" by watching Ripken, at any point in his career. At the end of the day, he will always be most famous for showing up to work every day to break Gehrig's streak. Of course, his streak went on a lot longer than it should have, but that's another story for another day.
