Okay, so I'm walking through an asian market here in Portland (visiting family) and in this bakery, a singer catches my eye on the flat screen TV. He's cute, he's young and he's wearing a white tux jacket a-la-Perry singing in front of a LARGE crowd. Of course I have to stop and see who this guy is.

Wasn't Arnel.

Turns out he is Wang Lee Hom from Taiwan EXCEPT he was born and raised in New York and speaks with zero accent. Believe me, all the girls in the bakery knew EXACTLY who he was!

Here is a You Tube of him just talking. He doesn't sing like Perry or anything, but he sure is cute. Has been a major act in the Asian music scene for ten years, has a Masters Degree from the Berkelee (sp?) School of Music here in the US. Got the record deal in asia when he was in college.

Oh, every once in a while I have one of those gushy moments and throw caution to the wind and act on the spur of the moment. It's a menopausal loon thing and hopefully I'll go a loooooooong time before I have another one!
