What songs do you think would qualify as the worst top 5 Perry-era Journey songs?
Here's my list:
1. Dixie Highway

I'm kiddin' ya. We all have our opinions on the songs. I'm just surprised to see a couple of those.

Balk Talk
Baby I'm Leaving You
Can Do
Somethin' To Hide
After the Fall
(that last one is ony on here because really, I could find a 5th, and I have issues with the flow of that tune)

Wow. those are five GREAT tunes in my opinion.
I think "Baby, I'm a Leavin' You" gets a bad rap merely because it's a reggae styled song and not what most people expect from Journey. Personally, I love it when a band goes against the grain and changes things up a bit.
PS - That last "la la la la LAY IT" line from Lay It Down is one of my favorite Perry vocals. That whole song is very vocally impressive, but the way he delivers that line, with a powerful raspy wail is definitely a highlight.

Oh man, I totally forgot about the Trial by Fire album. Yea, that entire album sucked save for When You Love a Woman and Still She Cries.

oh no! is that a special one for you? its just that when i got the cd.. i scanned it and that was the first song i played,, i wanted Open Arms II i think.. great words though.. look at me moon walking here..
