What do you think:

Back in the day, the Famous People just had to deal with the Press and/or people in and of that genre...

NOW - it's a FREE-FOR-ALL.

I can't help but wonder if that plays into certain performer's minds: the abilty to know EXACTLY what "The Fan" thinks, the MINUTE they think it...

Bottom Line:

Are we helping...or have we created a "Monster"...?

Thoughts? Comments?

Interesting question. I think it could be a huge advantage to test the waters with a new sound or new material for a band, kinda get the feel for what the fans think about your direction. Then there is of course the darkside to this also...we have seen it at work on these boards.

It certainly helps find singers for bands.

That's what I'm hoping for, too - that they will SEE it as such.... sigh...

look at the cover of the new People.. blogs, you tube, internet forums and chats help dictate what the media can make a buck on as well.. people cant make a move without someone taking a picture, releasing a personal conversation left on someones phone.. ect......

if you ever want to see how bad all that can really be.. log onto AOL .. any story, and read the comments.. bad ,very bad...
