No Offense To The Man- Robert Plant

Just took a hard cold look at Robert Plant and at 59 he looks, dare I say it? 7Oish. Meanwhile, Steve Perry only one year younger, to me anyways could pass for late 40s. With a lite facial peel and an eye lift, a hell of a lot younger than that.

I know he's happy doing whatever he's doing, but man, I miss him. Next year of so, it's now or never time.

LOL!!! Sounds like you have the map to his return laid out for him! That's the solution -- an Extreme Makeover! :P We'lll also throw in a little "Bo" to tighten things up, and inject his lips for a little extra pout while he's singing those ballads!

....the "brattiness" continues....

Couldn't hurt! No one could say he didn't look GOOD. Let me at him!

Add in that new fangled surgery that Steven Tyler had, and I say we're back to 78! Anybody know we're that red tie shirt is?

I don't know...the last few vids/pics I've seen of Perry, he looks very pudgy, face all round, chubby, etc. Sure ALOT like me, but I don't think he could pass for late 40's at all anymore. But who cares, yah I'm hoping he comes out of the cave to sing publicly again. I'd settle for a cd, no need to perform live, just do something with your talent....if you're still able!!

Oh I agree. I don't care what he looks like. I'm just saying from a PR stand point, it doesn't hurt to look as smoking hot as possible. There was a picture of him at some game last year, or the year before. It was after he lost weight. From the side he looked damn good. His skin was all smooth. His jaw looked firmer. Not that he has to have it, but a little bit of work goes a lot farther for a man than a woman.

I can only imagine how much Plant partied during the seventies and eighties. It might be that, or maybe it is just genetics.

That being said, he still carries some big time charisma...and at least he is still performing!

Perry looks like he's in his 50's in the portrait, but I've seen shots of his profile that make him look like he's in his 60's. He's getting that turkey neck thing.

Plant on the other hand, geez. Man looks in his 70's. You can tell he's working out though. He's quite buff in his shoulders. (not in this shot, but I think there was one posted of him with a clueless looking Jessica Simpson where you could see he was hitting the weights)

This is exactly why Perry will never come back.

He doesn't want to be compared to his youth.

Plant has no problem with being older. It's a part of life.

And I admire the heck out of that. Well said.

P.S. - I wasn't trying to malign Robert... I was just paraphrasing the initial post of the thread. I think it's called an oxymoron: "No offense, but you look very old." LOL!

Slight rumblings about Mr. Perry doing something...again. Not getting my hopes up this time. maybe he finally signed on to one of those albums with a chick. He turned down Reba, but didn't he have another offer?

No, that second "mention" was a fake story... sort of along the line of The Onion.

No, but I would like to put my foot so far up his ass that his breath would smell like shoe polish. Too much talent...wasting away (and not in Margaritaville, either  ).

Now that's funny. But it wasn't Journey, it was the alleged tribute band.
Man that thing is 10 years old - you must have really dug deep. Funny find! Thanks!

Well, I had to hear three verses from Jesus Christ Superstar from him. No more making it a Blockbuster Night!! :P
