Holiday Wishes for all Republicans

Postby Rockindeano » Thu Dec 13, 2007 2:18 pm

To my republican friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an polluted environment, fiscally irresponsible, hypocritical viewpoints, war hungry, corrupt leadership, or lack therof, missionary only sex, religious wackos, military nut jobs, who don't serve, and male paige hunters. I also want to wish you the best of luck in the 2010 mid terms, because 2008 is a lost cause and a waste of money and effort, and with all sincerity, I wish you could back off fucking up the country for the remaining 9 months or so. America was great, but has been is serious decline now for 7 solid years due to I don't know, buffoonery? In any event, this wish is directed at your party's leaders and not to those of it's voters found on Melodicrock.com.

To my Democratic friends:

Don't gloat too much next November.

Merry Christmas! I'll try my best not to gloat, but I will draw a big cleansing breath of semi fresh air. (if I can find some)

To my Far Left friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for high interest rates, high taxes, ignoring of external threats, offer no solutions - only complaints, steal from the hardworking and give to the lazy, affirmative action/legal racism against white men, Political correctness bullshit, Whacko global warming worries, partial birth abortions and ridiculous conspiracy theories.

You guys are right on Stem Cell research though, I'll admit that!

I thought I made a concerted effort to say that this was directed at the leaders in the Party, not those who follow the party on this board.

To answer your question GI Jim. All the War mongers/Hawks who cheerlead, spout off and support wars and combat, Hannity, Limbaugh, Cheney and yes Bush, NEVER served a fucking day in ANY active military. It's one thing to actually go and serve, like Sen Kerry did, or like even I did, versus some talking hack who is ra ra war, but runs like a deer off the highway when his turn comes up.

Okay, I thought you were referring to me! I do disagree with many of your points, but I do respect your right to your own beliefs. I've refrained from getting in on ANY of the religeous, political, or environmental debates since the Gore discussions on global warming several months ago! I'll keep my beliefs to myself, and try to post on rock-related, or just funny posts only. I have several friends on this board that I wouldn't want to loose, just because of our political views. I personally think too much about "The war", politics, etc... because of the job I have. It directly affects what I do from day to day, so when I come on here I look for a break away from all of that. On that note, carry on with your regularly scheduled debates...

Lions for Lambs. That's one of the subjects covered int the movie. The title of it was coined by the Germans and applied to the valor of the British soldiers who were fighting and dieing valiantly for the lambs in their government who sent them to war. The press is another topic the movie takes on.

if my memory serves, the U.S. joined WWII after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor right?, like in retaliation. i'm a little slow here, but i see surrender by the U.S. in today's climate an oxymoron because we haven't been taken over, but rather invaded, as in Iraq. Seems our resources should have remained in Afghanistan to actually be successful in that invasion. What is that dude's name Bush said he'd smoke out? Fuckin eh, where's Waldo, er Osama? i'm not a big war person. i understand the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the world wars, but this "war on terror" is like that "war on drugs".... i don't get it.

You questioned surrendering after you invade a country.

I was pointing out history. Germany and Japan BOTH invaded countries, then had to surrender in the end. So it HAS been done. It's not a far fetched occurance. BTW, both of those countries were the LOSERS.

I agree about the "war on terror". Especially with our borders being wide open.

i realize surrender has happened in history. my point is that we should not have invaded in the first place. sometimes my thought process does not make it to the point of me putting said thoughts into words, sorry. thanks for the dance ;).

I agree - we should not have invaded. But that was then, this is now. Pulling out now would equate to surrender, and leave a giant vacuum in the area which Iran would very quickly fill. It would also show the rest of the terrorist world just how weak our resolve is, and encourage them to attack us worldwide and at home.

i'd say we're pretty much in agreement. we made a huge mess of things and it is our responsibilty to clean it up. i'd like to see the men and women doing the dirty work receive the support and after care they so deserve. i'm just pissy about the way things are being run. i simply do not like this admin, i can't find anything about our prez that i like, which bums me out. yesterday's second veto of the childrens health bill leaves me dumbfounded.

I wish Al Gore would quit going to countries to turn on his country. He should be touring with satellite photos of the polution hovering over China, India and southern Asia. Eventually it polutes the world. He is from the blame us 1st crowd. Who on here will be the 1st to suggest to Gore that we limit one car to each household? And no longer will he or any others be able fly private jets and not have windmills ruin their precious view. They should all shut up . Hypocrites !!!!!

Why should he be any different than any other democrats? Jimmy Carter, BJ Clinton, both make tons of cash bashing the US overseas.

sorry all who disagree here...

BUT BUSH slowly is reshaping the world with impending VICTORY in IRAQ---which will be declared by either Hillary or Obama whoever gets elected in 2009 and they will TAKE FULL CREDIT for it... that VICTORY will reshape the entire middle east. just my opinion...and you guys who have always been dead set against will be waving the flag...It will piss me off to no end to see that happen..

Rick

to clarify...it will piss me off to see democrates fully supporting the effort after 2008 elections (if they win)--once in power. the victory will be sweet!!

Sorry you disagree Oh Sherry. The Dems just funded more $$$ for Iraq. They know even though they sing another tune that we are never going to turn over those oil fields to Iran so they can supply China. Plus a general testified 2 wks ago the alternative is $ 10.00 a gallon gas in his opinion. We have alerted other countries who co-operate in foiling terrorist attacks and have wiped out many top operatives. The Dems because of certain voters have blocked us from drilling for our own oil. The kicker is China will be drilling in The Gulf of Mexico. Watch what politicians do and not what they say.

If you don't want to fight then you shouldn't join the military. No one sends you to war. You send yourself to war by the mere act of signing up. (This applies of course to people who actively join versuses those who are drafted)

For all the belly aching over this war, one has to remember that the Democrats are just as responsible. Hilary, correct me if I'm wrong, voted yes for war funding.
(
That said, I'm not totally happy with old man Bush, but to totally blame him for everthing as it is so popular is just plain dumb P.S. This is a general comment and not pointed at any one person.
