Thanks Kaj!

Good version, yet I still prefer Jeremey's vocals on this one.

Is this really a Journey demo? Or a JSS demo w/ Neal?

Since I can't listen yet, are they the same lyrics from the Va. show or have they been re-tooled? I know Jeremey mentioned the idea of broadening the lyrics and he worked on some.

I loved this song before I even heard it because it was the first original Journey song with JSS. I thought that was a good omen. *sigh* I still love it though. This is a nice version. Thanks!

The song is not great but i do think it has potential. It sounds like a average song that would of Been on generations, and has a name like it should be on a Bob Catley solo album

Let the record show I DID NOT LEAK this!

Also, sorry folks, the song sucks ass but no way in fucking Hell is Jeremey's version better. I think his version sucks more ass than the original.

This was out a while back on the board. In my opinion this showcases why JSS is much better off where he is, rockin out to his own vibe in songs that fit his style. JH on the hand sounds great on this demo.

Bad song overall, but the melody is good and Jeff infuses it with soulful heart. If the lyrics were completely thrown out, it wouldn't be a bad Journeyesque ballad.

Have to agree with Deano though. Jeff outshines Jeremy on this.

I have to admit, I didn't want Jeff in Journey... until this demo leaked. This showed me what might have been. Journey needs a truthful soul singer to retain what made them special with Perry. Guess we'll see if Arnel lives up to the hype.

And I think the reason for that was stated up above!! It was written for a particular event, but that didn't mean it had to be cheesy or lame either. Can't believe they made JSS sing that

Comes across better live. Wasn't too impressed with the song/lyrics, but enjoyed Jeff's powerful vocals on it.

Okay, well I do agree with that. Jeff's vocals more than make up for the cheesy lyrics. 8)

man o man that was a great time in VA, albeit the last with Jeff, I got really really excited about where Journey was going and I soooooooooooo enjoyed Jeff being there.

this song is part of the reason I fell so hard at the news of the breakup. I caught a glimpse of the future and it blew me away. I filmed this on my bad camera and I still feel the same way when I watch it. Even now, i can close my eyes and hear it and feel it.

goodness.

I was 10 feet from the stage when Jeff sang the song. Shitty Song. Not even close. Not JSS's fault at all. Totally on FRIGA for writing a TURD.
