Rip,

That was awesome!!! I can't wait for this movie. I love the direction of Batman begins, away from all that cartoon crap from the last several movies! Hopefully this will be as good as the last.

I liked a couple of the original Batman movies but the last one was leagues better and this one looks good also.

If anyone's interested, they debuted a near 7-minute footage clip from the film (bank robbery scene) at the IMAX version of "I Am Legend", and someone posted a bootleg of it on YouTube:

Don't let the King Kamali title fool ya -- I'm sure they did this to evade the powers that be.

Thanks Rip.. That is going to be so good.. Wasn't sure about Heath Playing Joker, but damn he is dark.. I love it.. Jack's Joker was too unrealistic.. Pulling a long gun to take out the batwing...C'mon!

It does kinda look like they are playing homage to that scene at the end of the trailer... Really looking forward to this!

That was great Rip. Thanks for the link.

Wished they'd put more no name actors in movies. Katie H. in the other, Maggie G. in this one. But its Batman so who cares right? Just seeing so many familiar faces detracts from it.

Bale and Ledger are gonna be great in their roles though.

Agreed, Heath Ledger as the Joker, perfect! Looks like a good movie.

That clip Rip posted makes the first 3 Batman movies look like little kid flicks. Seriously dark stuff.

And another huge Batman villain makes his big appearance in this film too... Can't wait to see how they depict him...

So you're a big Batman fan, Rip? I am a Marvel guy myself. Still have all my old comics from when I was a kid.

Mostly Marvel myself, actually, but of course I love Batman and Superman. Can't wait for the new "Justice League" film, either, as long as they do it right. I haven't kept up with the characters or their books since I was young, so I really just love the classic ones.

"Spider-Man" = the RIGHT way to do a comic book film.

"Superman Returns" = the WRONG way to do a comic-book film. (IMO)

Agreed RIP (on Marvel comics and movies) but WHY OH WHY can't Hollywood do a THIRD comic film that's worth a shit? XMEN 3, BATMAN AND ROBIN, and now SPIDERMAN 3...all sucked ass...so dissapointing, particularly X 3 (which the studio basically rushed into production to fuck Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN film and beat it out of the gate. Joke was on them, as SUPERMAN RETURNS was a collosal piece of crap too!)

Ah, I'm glad there's other grown men geeks like myself on these boards!

Yeah, SM3 did suck, but I still had to buy it.

I nominate The Incredible Hulk as the worst superhero movie EVER. Even worse than SuperMan 3.

Ahhh... Now I get where your screen name came from! I didn't even connect the two. You know, I wouldn't consider myself an easy person to please by any means when it comes to films, but I actually really enjoyed X3 and Spider-Man 3. I know I seem to be in the minority on both of those, though. Maybe it's because I didn't care if a major character died in X3, and wasn't really a huge Venom fan to start with. I do think Venom was the weakest part of Spider-Man 3, and yes, they did try to juggle too much in it, but I still really enjoyed it.

Now "Superman Returns" is a different matter altogether to me... I can understand Singer wanting to pay homage to the Chris Reeve films, and thought it was pretty cool to use the Marlon Brando footage for Jor-El, but he got so many other things wrong. I could barely find much at all to like about it other than a few action sequences. Biggest complaints (in no particular order)...

1) DON'T screw with the primary colors in the suit, dude! He looked like the evil Supes in "Superman III". By the way, I saw one of those Evil Supes costumes fetch over $40G on eBay about a year ago.

2) The whole film was dark and gloomy -- just didn't look or feel like a Superman film, IMO. Also got too depressing near the end, which fit the gloominess of the film. Horrible...

3) I thought Kevin Spacey sucked as Lex Luthor -- again, I seem to be in the minority there.

4) No chemistry between any of the actors... especially Clark and Lois... they ALL sucked.

5) No climactic showdown between Supes and Lex -- what the heck were they thinking?

6) Aside from a passing resemblance to Chris Reeve, I don't think Brandon Routh was the right choice for the role. He looked more like Superboy than Superman, and delivered a very wooden Reeve-like imitation.

One of the worst comic book films I've seen, and I was just profoundly disappointed with it.... Bryan Singer doesn't deserve another chance with the franchise.

saw the preview this weekend with I Am Legend.

Looks WAY cool. I don't want to see ANYTHING else before I see the flick though. I thought the preview showed way too much. I hate when the previews give it away. I will try to avoid any other Bat media before the movie comes out. Batman Begins was THE BEST super hero movie of all of them. Great movie.

And yeah, the last Superman movie was C R A P. The best scene in it was the plane scene. The rest was totally crappy. AND- Why they didn't use the Smallville guy is beyond me. He's great in that character.

Showed way too much -- would have loved to have been blown away by that scene in the theater. But incredible. Another winner in the making. Batman Begins was leagues above the others. And this looks to be great, too.

I hope to hell that they don't put a million villians in it...
That was the main problem with all the previous bat movies.
I DID like the Michael Keaton one with the Joker. That was a pretty cool movie. The rest of those sucked.

You're right about Spidey having too much shit crammed in it. VENOM deserved his own film- not to be a footnote / second fiddle to the Sandman and some made up Harry Osourne shit!
X3 had some great moments (Who the hell knew Kelsey freaking Grammar would make a good Hank McCoy! I almost fell out when he said "Oh my stars and garters!") and I liked some of the homages to the actual source material, but MAN did they waste the Phoenix story! Again, she shoulda been your main villian, not a foot nte to yet another Magneto movie...

I totally agree about Supes, especially the color scheme...what was that about? And the whole SUPERMAN LIFTS A CONTINENT crap was right up there with turning back time in the first film on the LAME-O- METER....

The movie I'm waiting for is Captain America although I doubt it will ever happen. I've heard rumblings over the years but I'm not going to hold my breath. Lots of cool stuff to work with too - WWII, Nazis, Red Skull.

Spiderman III was a piece of crap. The whole badboy thing and the deal where he's picking up chicks and stuff. Stupid. Um, hello! He's Toby Friggin Maguire! That movie was SO terrible it's no wonder that the stars involved don't want to do another one.
