I think the one she is referring to may be the VH1 special with REO, Styx and Journey in a big room.

There is a stellar '02 boot floating around where Neal's accoustic solo on "Liberty" must be heard to be believed (i think it's the Biloxi concert).
As for the VH1-Classics version available on YouTube, its of no great shakes.
In fact, as you watch it, you can spot Jon Cain in the background eyeing SA nervously as he haphazardly croons away.

I think it was removed. I made my statement based on memory of having seen it. And no, "crazy" dulce lady, he did not even remotely nail it. He was vocally off pitch and was clearly struggling with it. Every one of Perry's songs are too big for Augeri. He simply doesn't have the chords for them. He has the same tenor vocal tone as Perry and can mimic Perry's stylings, but he's a weak vocalist. Always has been. Nice guy, I'm sure, but he was never qualified for the lead singing position in Journey.

Pineda is far and away a much much better vocalist than Augeri ever was. Time will tell how he does with Neal and Jon though.

Good voice, just not strong enough for the back catalogue.

Because TNC is probably the greatest poster to ever grace this place.

You are either stone deaf, a pathological liar, or, (as I likely suspect), a pig faced mutant stowaway from the planet BackTalk with lips hermetically sealed around Augeri’s greasy flagpole.
Remove his slippery dong from your gullet, allow oxygen to return to whatever one blinking neuron remains, and watch the clip again.

This is one of Augeri’s better post-2000 showings, I’ll grant him that - but that is faint praise indeed.
He ducks high notes as often as Monker takes salty hot jizz blasts to her face.

It's pretty obvious SA is struggling mightily. Hell, the first words he ducked.

And Friga is nervously watching him....

To ask any singer to try and nail that song is asking the almost impossible. That's as far as I'll go on that and you know why Dean
